Mercer Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 Eusless bullsh1tting about a difficult opponent. Feck me, what's he going to say about Leeds, Southampton and Ipswich!?!? Quote

M_B Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 At least the white flag doesn't go up under this manager, unlike the last one. That's 3 times already we've come back to earn a draw. At least his team has shown some balls. I think Tomasson's pissing about towards the end did untold damage to the squad, the ridiculous loaning of Travis to Ipswich was as stupid and childish as it was baffling. I'm sticking right behind Eustace, he's been handed a huge job to keep us up. 3 7 Quote

It's the one major positive in his favour so far, that and we look a lot more secure defending set pieces, plus we've scored from 2 under him. Not massive positives, but definitely positives from the last bloke. 1 Quote
roversfan99 Posted March 6, 2024 Posted March 6, 2024 I think playing 5 defenders throughout a very winnable home game and being pleased with a point is a big sign of what John Eustace potentially is unfortunately. The players dont look like they know what they are doing, no one has any idea what the tactics are going forward beside the occasional hoof in the air to no one in particular. We arent creating chances and we arent keeping clean sheets. Even the set pieces are confused, it seemed like we would be going to put crosses into the box with more height under him but that mess in injury time summed up a confused, disjointed and dysfunctional performance and we did a similar corner in the first half. Its hard to know what to make regarding his time at Birmingham, I wonder if he got sacked at a good time in terms of his reputation. His full season there was unremarkable and although they were 6th when he left, it was 11 games in and with a favourable fixture list, Rooney then followed with 5 really difficult fixtures so it might have been a bit misleading at such an early stage. He obviously has inherited a poor set of players but youd expect a bounce and all we have had is lifeless and soul destroying performances. He comes across as a dullard and his teams portray that. 2 Quote
BRFC4EVA Posted March 6, 2024 Posted March 6, 2024 (edited) Absolute fraud this wanker. Defensive, boring draw specialist. That gets you relegated. Another cheap knock-off venky job. And given a bloody 2 a half year deal so we can't get rid, cos it'll cost these cheapskates too much Pathetic Edited March 6, 2024 by BRFC4EVA 4 Quote

Weve only scored first in one of his 6 games, which we then went on to throw away a 2 nil lead in. 1 Quote

He'll be kept on of course and will no doubt be the one to take us down next year. Quote

He’s had the perfect run of games to get us well clear of the bottom 3, yet we’ve won none and sit 2 points from the drop zone. In his own words: no excuses. 4 Quote

Those teams we've played, anything less than three wins out of that run of games is unacceptable. The squad is fucking dog shit and the manager hasn't got what it takes. 1 Quote
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted March 6, 2024 Posted March 6, 2024 (edited) Smacks of Mowbray's results after Coyle. Too many safe draws won't keep you up. Turning one into a win would. We've all known for a while that the squad is awful: unbalanced, small, slow and little fight. That lies with the owners and recruitment staff. It will be no better next year unless we hit administration. Eustace looks a dire appointment though. Still, as the cap wearing chap said, no excuses. And points wise it probably would have worked only we aren't going to get draws against the stronger teams, meaning that we actually need to get a win somewhere. The lack of new manager bounce is appalling though even factoring in that he has a dire squad. Harris at Millwall has shown to be a poor or indifferent manager and I'm sure will struggle long term. That said he has got an initial reaction from the team. Most managers, even poor ones do. If this is our reaction then that speaks volumes about him. Quote

Behind twice against both Walsall and Cambridge and won. And within the last year we came back from 3-1 down at Millwall to win. Also at home to Luton and Huddersfield away. If you are intent on disrespecting Tomasson at least get your facts right. 2 Quote

CambridgeRover Posted March 6, 2024 Posted March 6, 2024 His post match press conferences are bordering on the delusional. Come ai generated combination of "They were a strong opponent" "Lads showed character" "Postivies to be seen" 2 Quote

By all means you can praise Eustace for getting draws after going behind but using Tomasson to justify your point is just a cheap shot. 2 Quote
