Is this your way of saying that Sammie wanted to be anywhere else but at that meeting?! His body language certainly looks like it.

I mean, we’ll let him off given he’s our only decent player now.

Not at all, it’s one moment from a 2 hour meeting on a camera he (like the rest of us) had no idea was recording.

I simply do not rate or trust Broughton.

Another window like last Summer and we are sure to go down (even if we survive this season).

I would be prepared to give Eustace (or another DOF) the benefit of the doubt.

Rate Broughton? He has done very well in shit circumstances.

Give Eustace the benefit of the doubt? On what?

It's obviously very difficult to deal in the market under these circumstances, but at least have someone who has the slightest clue doing the job.

The guy is massively out of his depth imo.

What experience have you got in a Football DoF role?

He has been a DoF for nearly 2 years..

So who would replace him then? Any names?

From the man who told us in November that JDT was taking us to the Play Offs.

Also, are you still expecting great things from Ennis?

We were 7th at that time. Things look good at the time.

Ennis has gone and somehow we got 500k for him. Did you miss that transfer? 🤔🫡

What experience do you have as a director of football, surely only a valid counter argument to suggesting that you should take the job.

Being asked to have a complete scouting knowledge of European players is one thing too, but random fans arent going to be able to recite potential DOFs. Doesnt mean they dont exist.

"It is something we're looking at, we've been in for a week and you can't change everything straight away with the amount of games that we've had.

"We haven't had much time to train. We're tweaking little things here and there. At Birmingham, we defended them very well.

"We just need to keep working on the training field and work as hard as we can on that.

"We have to give responsibility to the players to understand what it takes to defend the goal. It's not just the first phase of the attack, it's the second and third phase until we clear the ball out of the danger zone.

"That's what we have to do on the training field and we will be doing that. It's evident that we didn't do that on Saturday."

People who spend hours on an obscure message board obsessing about the minutiae of a football club telling others who spend loads of time on their football club to get a life.

Yep, makes you wonder why clarets mad is still going

If ever there is evidence there's a troll in our midst that is it.

No one, well over the age of 11, no one would be thick enough to challenge someone on their experience as a DOF when they have bugger all themselves.

Nor do I think anyone would be championing the expertise of a profession in one sentence - what experience have you got as a DOF - and at the same time expecting said person to have the expertise to suggest an alternative.

In fact no one is stupid or ignorant enough to think one's lack of knowledge means an answer doesn't exist. I mean just because I don't know how to fix my car doesn't mean there isn't a solution.

Also the respons when asked how Ennis  worked out, ignoring the obvious that it hasn't shows either a complete lack of understanding of English or a willfulness not to engage properly with people. Again even a child would have worked out the said question and implications.

And all that's before we get to the tone. I'm all for different opinions and debate but such posting is really low imo.

Well considering that I very much doubt you or many others on here knew Broughtons name before he arrived here that question is a bit dafty bum.

Caddy, what gives you right at all to have an opinion on a DOF?

Why do you always insist on names? I doubt you know any names other than the obvious ones, who's to know what good looks like? None of have a clue unless we've worked in elite football.

Just because you have experience doesn't immediately make you good in any walk or life.

"I'm an experienced 5k runner because I've been running for 2 years" yet can't even break 25 mins. (Fyi I run a 19.30) but it's beyond the point.

I really struggle with Eustace and his interviews. Says a lot without saying much at all.

Usually include: 'no excuse culture', 'togetherness', really excited', 'you know', 'working really hard', 'fadzy/hedgy/bucko/lowey'

Yeh I'm the same. Part of me tho is thinking he needs the summer to get his tactics drilled and embedded in to the squad so it's worth ignoring all the BS that comes out of the club for now because they are trying to paint a picture of positivity.

That is really starting to irritate me, it's a least twice in every sentence.

Really want him to succeed but cant help but think he's a ready made yes man who will toe the party line.

It would appear certainly that one of the reasons Waggott brought him in is that he will keep his head down and not be openly critical like JDT was.

Again I have no particular issue with that but IF and only if he gets results.

It shows a distinct lack of ambition by the CEO.

He'll be employed with the remit to keep us in the league - both this year and going forward - with a shoestring budget.

Look forward to being big, physical and good at set pieces for the next few years.
