Callum Brittain is a sh*t house, bleating like a little lamb within days of JDT leaving and then putting an awful performance in like that and giving away a goal. Poor lad not being able to cross, pity he’s not able to defend either. I don’t like many of this squad anymore. Szmodics & Tronstad are the only 2 that are solid week in week out, the rest are either sh*t, sh*thouses or permanently injured like JRC. He's given away a handful of goals because he's over-committing. Can't cross for the life of him either. No footballing brain there unfortunately. Hard-working though, I'll give him that. Quote

GaryC Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 Very poor performance tonight, Mcfadzean looked ok but rest of team just didnt look like they were at the races tonight, The least said about Telavics weak header that was straight at Ruddy the better, Ill be at Deepdale to cheer the boys on but a much better performance will be required Quote
alcd Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 League 1 beckons. Just can't see where the points required are coming from. So many sub-standard players - Brittain, Chrisene, Garrett, Telalovic, Moran all useless. Can't carry so many passengers when even Brum are bringing on Dembele and Bacuna as substitutes. 8 Quote

We should have enough of a cushion to stay up this season with only one place left to play for. But we're so bad, I'm not totally sure. I think it's odds-on we'll hardly spend this summer. If the investigation is still on, then we may even seek sammie. In such circumstances it's difficult to imagine the worse teams than us. I'd have to go off grid for the Burnley games Quote

Popular Post OldEwoodBlue Posted February 13, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 13, 2024 JDT - right lads this is exactly how we are going to play. Eusless - right lads, how do you want to play ? Britain - I know, lets play to our strengths? Gally - yeah I'm like a horse boss. Hedges - I'm suddenly feeling better. Eusless - OK lets do that then lads. One family. 12 Quote
Ghost7 Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 The summer of Venky's no spend really did cripple us. Tonight was appalling and all of the free loan signings don't have what it takes. The clubs renting them out know it too. 6 Quote

Popular Post DaveyB Posted February 13, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 13, 2024 We’ve suddenly gone into the complete opposite of what we were under JDT - from a ‘keep possession at all costs’ team to one that just aimlessly boots the ball away as soon as we get it. And whilst there were plenty on here (and loads more sat around me at Ewood) rejoicing on Saturday that “finally we’ve got rid of that passing out from the back crap”, I was never convinced that just giving the opposition CBs the ball at every opportunity was a sustainable approach and so it transpired tonight as Birmingham attacked us at will and could (and probably should) have scored 5 or 6. I’d love to see the stats from halftime up until the goal - I’d be amazed if we had more than about 10% possession - and most of that was just whilst waiting for Pears to take the goal kick!! However, it turns out that it’s actually pretty hard to score when you don’t have the ball! Hopefully this isn’t actually how the new manager wants us to play and there will be an actual game plan going forward, because if not then we will go down with barely a whimper 10 Quote

NeilInBristol Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 so blooming generous Birmingham City won at home in the Championship for the first time in almost three months as they ruined former Blues boss John Eustace's return with Blackburn Rovers. BBC 1 Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 (edited) Same old story - go behind and it’s over. What ever happened to scoring the last minute goals to steal a point or even a win ? A distant memory I’m afraid. Edited February 13, 2024 by Tyrone Shoelaces 4 Quote
