It looks like Pears would have saved the equaliser but for Hedges being in his way and also deflecting the ball from it's original path.

1 and 1/2 minutes of highlights,  no replays, probably free from the EFL to the club

He would have done. Pears almost seemed to save it on the line then knock it over the line with his trailing leg just for good measure. We will just add it to the ever growing list of awful/weak as piss goals conceded.

Overall, It was a good point and we got something from the game which we rarely do there.

Of course after being 2 nil up and comfortable, a mad 5 minutes cost us sadly 3 points.

We scored 2 very good goals from passing the ball quickly forward. Sammie Szmodics does what he does best and Gallagher's finish is quick cos I don't think Woodman expect him to finish with the outside of the right foot.

I thought Wharton and Garrett were poor for the second goal from the original open play not getting closer and tighten to Frokjaer-Jensen. On the second goal, Hedges should clear it. Pears would have save it without the touch on the ball from Hedges

Second half, It was both teams not wanting to take a risk to win the game but happy with a point.

I thought Brittain and Hedges did very well as wing backs and we stop their main danger man in Liam Millar from impacting the game. Hyam and McFaz were good at the back. Gallagher and Szmodics worked their socks off up front. Thought Wharton was poor and Garrett was also poor and very poor positional for the first half

I thought overall we were much better defensively from open play and more solid and organised. Like I said in the Eustace's thread he is trying to make hard to beat and much better defensively organised like Mark Hughes did when he took over. It is about picking points up and staying up. Eustace and his staff need to sort our defending from Set Pieces cos we need to better and I would be focusing on this in training this week.

The fans was fantastic yesterday and It was pleasure to be there watching myself. The players and Eustace came over the fans at the end of the game and properly saluted the fans who have made the effort of going and paying £30 pounds to watch it and back the team from start to finish.

Overall, it's away point and another point on the board.

Pardon?

Last 3 visits there prior we had the 1-1 that should have been a win but for you know who. Pasted them 4-1 and 3-0 the 2 previous games, not sure which Deepdale you've been attending 🤔

we also had the 3-2 lose in 2019 when we were 2 nil up, 4-1 loss in 2018, 3-2 lose in 2016.

since 2015 in head vs head against PNE whether at home or away, Rovers have won 4 games, loss 8 games and 4 draws.

Not sure that was the ‘you were right, I was wrong’ that you should really have said, but we move.

Wasn't at the game yesterday, but reading the reports it appears that physically at least we were able to match the nobbers , whereas in the home game we were completely out fought and bullied by them.

Have to say though, I am concerned about this run of games in a short space of time with our injury record. Players like Gallagher, whatever you may think of him, will be vital in the run in, we can't afford to lose him for any length of time. But what games do you leave him out of, it's a big decision. Sounds like the pitch was heavy yesterday and will have taken a lot of the players, do you rest him on Tuesday? Same goes for the like of Hedges, McFadzean and Brittain, players who succumb to  injuries fairly easily. Some big decisions to make over team selection in the coming weeks for the manager

On a similar note, In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune.

Gallagher went down injured in the second half yesterday, think it was his ankle by the looks of it. You're right though he's crucial, but it's very hard to see him staying fit for the remainder of the season....

Oh is that why he's only done two sessions etc? I assumed when coaches take on roles they immediately move to a hotel near the club

I’m assuming (and hoping) the the Birmingham reference was more to do with the players traveling for the game at Birmingham and then needing to rest because of our coach (😉 )

Can also imagine that there have a few fair meetings for JE with staff and players to listen and get them onboard with the new “direction”

If traveling from Birmingham to Blackburn is too much of a commute given the importance of our situation then JE is in the wrong job.

Ffs - just avoid the worst traffic and it is 2hrs max. Not like training sessions are 14 hours long so time isn’t the issue…

He hardly seems to warm up before he's injured. I'm convinced there's a player in there at this level if he could only stay fit.

We need him to be playing. We’re toothless at the moment if he’s injured again. For a big guy who’s not overly physical he seems to be really injury prone. Great pass for Sammi’s goal yesterday and a nice finish for his own goal.

Gallagher has 3 goals and apparently 4 assists since his return from injury. Hopefully we can come to some sort of agreement on a new deal because contrary to what some say, he would leave a huge hole as he does when he is missing.

It's the, when he is missing bit, that is the problem.

Only the last couple of seasons and seem to think he missed a few due to family reasons (baby?) Source for stats is wiki so maybe not 100%
