I hate those that have somehow ended up owning/running my club, obviously that’s the same for most on here. Nobody hates the club itself or why would they be on here getting so het up about it?

No, there isn’t. They just disagree with you.

explain that

Sometimes, people can be disgusted by something they love. Doesn’t mean they don’t love it, or wish better for it.

Well I would hope so and it’s just a few lashing out their frustrations

but we should all be Blackburn rovers fans not Duncan McGuire fans. I felt sorry for the lad but I’m well within my rights to not like that interview.

we all know most footballers move clubs for money reasons but don’t be so brazen about it, could have shown a little respect to the name

I don’t know why so many are getting angry about McGuire. It was a lot of money being spent on someone who hasn’t played in any English league, recommended by person with a very dubious record of previous signings.

Move on. Go find someone we know can perform at championship level.

Respect is earned, not an automatic right. If you accepted a job at a new company, handed in your notice etc and then the new company "forgot" to file the paperwork correctly you'd be in every right to talk ill of them, as is he.

Why does understanding why he is so hurt and angry at being denied a dream move in such farcical circumstances make people McGuire fans?

Because it shows it was a dream move for money only when he does that stupid money gesture

You wouldn't talk ill of them to potential future employers though.

Here’s the video version of the interview. He’s basically telling Rovers that they’ll need to pay him handsomely to come back over.

Fair enough to the lad, it’s our mistake so we’ll have to pay the wages he wants.

It wasn't a mistake.

I don't have an issue with it. I think he's within his rights given what occurred and let's not forget the debacle leading up to it with it cancelled mid flight and then sat in a hotel lobby, one foot in Sheffield, one in Blackburn and then back to Orlando.

With all that said, the interview shows its not likely and probably best for all parties to move on. We'll potentially pay over the odds to persuade him with money we've not got and half the fan base is already on his back.

I don't watch much of the MLS but from what I've seen I think he'd have made a good signing. The sort of player that will sign for Sheff Wed and come back to haunt us with a hattrick next season...

I think the explanation is you're taking the comment too literally. He just means there is a rot in the club that is negatively affecting all aspects of it.

For me it would be the same with any player in a similar position - young, being dangled the carrot of a dream move. Transfer may or may not have been pulled mid-flight. Then gets told it's resurrected as a loan. Everything completed well before deadline, officially announced....you're on cloud 9. And then to be told the club messed it up? And you probably hear they did similar 12 months ago?

It's a horrendous way to treat anyone, let alone a young player half way across the world. It's embarrassing that it's my club, our club, and therefore people can dislike/hate those involved and how they've tarnished the name of the club as a whole.

They’ve absolutely no interest in signing him, it’s a PR exercise to get the wheels In morion of ‘gearing up’ for a busy transfer window, just in time for season tickets to go on sale.

Fancy that, talking up a potentially exciting transfer prospect to coincide with season tickets going on sale………
