All talk is shite.

Actions short of new players entering the building and signing a contract, are shite.

There is a helluva lot of shite around (including this drivel), and we will have to endure endless volumes more before anything actually happens (even if anything actually happens in the end, other than another dose of mindless downgrading of our club, our expectations and our player capabilities).

Mods, please can we have a thread for 'actual' transfer activity, rather than mindless shite (like this)? Thanks.

Nothing will really happen until the last few days in August !

Not sure you should take anything you read on here as ‘fact’.

I’m glad you’ve amended your post. It’s just disappointing that you’ve now gone down the strawman route.😉

Yes it's a decent interview - talks about the six months he's already been here.  Outlines his job.  Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do.

He can knob off for .. refused to play for us .

How do folk do that with people posting opinions/gossip/ITK-isms on an anonymous internet message board?

When a poster states ‘it’s simply not true that there are no impediments to Venky’s sending funds over’ or whatever the exact wording was.

The obvious response to that statement of fact is ‘how do you know’. That’s where you jumped in talking about Wharton etc which wasn’t relevant to the question asked.

Of course it’s relevant because if what Roger says is untrue we’ll have money to spend. Nothing Roger says on here is provable one way or another in June and we’ll only know by the 1st September. So what do we do, lock the thread till then? Or do we just chew the fat, go off on tangents, bicker and post unfounded gossip instead?

The second, of course.

You’re getting strangely defensive about someone asking ‘how do you know’.

its baffling, it really is.

Fact. No money can be sent from India without the court approving it. So I can't see how the statement there are no impediments to Venkys sending money over stands up. They can't just do a bank transfer. They have to apply to court with a detailed breakdown of what the costs are for. Hope that answers your question forever blue.

There you go Matty, it’s a fact.

Thanks for the response Roger, I can see the angle you are approaching this from, which is fair enough. I presume Waggott means that there is not future impediment if the known conditions are met.

It's amazing that anyone could have followed the club the last 14 years and after yet another quick, cheap rearranging of the deck chairs proclaim themselves 'absolutely delighted'. Wake Up!

It's a metaphor for life in general. Put it down to cognitive dissonance on an industrial scale.

Loads of dosh brought in from Wharton, Raya and soon Sammie.

So presumably a decent transfer budget then if there’s no court issues?

No. The funds will disappear into the Venkys Great Black Hole. Free transfers and loans on low wages so effectively running a Championship club on a League 1 budget. And that's where we'll be in 12 months time.

It's detailed in the court case they are forbidden to send funds out of India. They and their companies are not allowed to send any funds without a court granting permission. When they do send funds they have to deposit an equal sum with the India authorities incase they lose the case and have no assets in India to pay the fines etc.

The delay in the case in January to August meant the Wharton bid had to be accepted as we didn't have funds to operate the club past January.

"I think communication is key, they have to know what's going on to a certain extent obviously. If you want them to feel part of the club then you need to make them feel like they know what's happening in the club.

"I'm pleased we're doing this already. Steve Waggott is doing his best to ensure the fans know what's happening in the club.

"I think Steve is working to make sure we are improved on everything and we're all aligned in the same direction."

Rudy Waggot.

Christ what a complete load of shite, years of managed decline along with zero communication about what the plan is. But well done Steve, you're doing your best...

If Guestede is going to spout shite like that then he's proved he's just Waggotts puppet.

No, they have to match it with a bond. They’ve been granted permission.

Absolutely, so how can it be argued that there is no impediment to them sending funds. Waggott himself has stated that court permission is required to release funds, so how can he then say, there is no impediment?

Baffling.

That's not the case. The bond was required, before permission was given for the two previous amounts. Right now, they cannot send funds, with or without a bond.

So they have to find double the amount of funds than if there were no restrictions and the bond is forfeited if the case goes against them. On those terms they're not to send any funds.

Agree. Thought it was a poor and patronising interview.

"We need the fans, we need them to turn up for games and we need them to understand the plan of the club. Where we are going and why we're going this way," he told RoversTV.

Tell us he's all about communicating - yet doesn't tell us what the plan of the club is and why.

Which is basically what people have been asking since we were relegated from the Prem.

From the outside it looks like we just sell all our best best players at the first opportunity. Reinvest almost nothing and are happy just to promote as many as needed from the academy. The only clear statement about a 'football plan' was to avoid relegation.

So come on Rudy, spill the beans.  Where are we going?

Ist question is easy----we're going nowhere but down.

2nd question--why? I await Rudy's explanation.
