We got Park in who will drive our recruitment this summer with Eustace and Waggott.

You do remember just how bad we were the second half of last season? I think it's perfectly fair that people are concerned we have done no business yet.

That squad needed some huge changes and time with new team mates and coaches to hit the ground running next season.

It’s gone under the radar, (and I’m not commenting on whether or not we should have made him an offer), but the hiatus with McFadzean sums up how the club functions.

A deal has reportedly been agreed in principle, but the deal hasn’t been completed.

That has all the usual hallmarks of having to wait for the owners to rubber stamp a deal, so everything comes to a grinding halt.

Therefore, it amazes me how there are still people who expect us to suddenly function normally and go out and be proactive in the transfer market, even if funds are available.

Not much Transfer business happens in June. Simple as. That's how football works. Yes we all know signings need to settle in but let's get in the right players for us

Very predictable. Moving at a snail's pace as usual. Maybe Waggott is thinking that later in the window the players who have failed to attract interest from other clubs can be more desperate and accept a lower wage. Loan deals could also be found cheaper later in the window when clubs are more desperate to send out players that there seems to be no interest in.

Why sign players now and pay them through June and July when they can be signed at the end of August and save on 3 months wages?

Why sign players now when there are 4-5 kids in the academy who could benefit from pre-season?

These are the things Waggott will have in mind. A proper pre-season and hitting the ground running? Irrelevant.

Bit of a naive question imo, Chaddy, if you don't mind me saying.

Putting the strong likelihood of Sky not being interested in it aside for a minute. If an agent reveals such before a national audience, especially via Sky Sports News, then he/she risks their name becoming mud in the agent world. Which club or owner is then going to want to deal with such an agent? It is not in the agent's interest to openly disclose this to the world by putting their name to it.

However, if the post is true, I am of the view that it has been shared on that page out of disbelief at just what a mess we are as a club. The idea behind it possibly being to let the fans know.

It seems as though people underestimate or in some cases, have no idea about how much of a joke setup we have under these owners. When they do realise it or experience it for themselves, it comes as a big shock to them. Hence, a likely explanation for that Facebook post being "the fans need to know" (JDT had that realisation too).

I have previously shared the story of a former club owner getting in touch with somebody I know fuming and asking "who the eff do I speak to at your club, who is running the place?" after he couldn't get through to anybody senior at the club to deal with him.

After said ex owner managed to sort whatever it was, he (the ex owner) spoke again with the person I know. The words "shambles" and "jokers" were uttered by him regarding our setup. He also expressed his sympathy for the Rovers fans.

We aren't viewed seriously in football circles and haven't been for years, imo, due to these owners and the people they have/had in senior positions. Remember the story about an agent or a coach advising Dwight McNeil to opt for Burnley ahead of us as we were a mess at the time. The nonsense over the past couple of years with the transfer cock ups, spelling mistakes, the save/send crap, McGuire being sent back etc only adds to that view.

That FB post might be somebody playing at being ITK, it happens around this time of year. However, I think it could be genuine based on what has gone on recently, our need to raise money and the people in position.

It's a travesty that a club as famous, as historic and as big as this has people like Venky's, Waggott and the rest associating themselves with it and making it look like this. An absolute travesty.

You'd be best off saying "I wanted 3 in by now and I'm disappointed that the club haven't done that" - 3 is what you wanted and you haven't got it.

So you can therefore be critical of the club if you think that's what we needed and it hasn't happened.

I Said if I recall correctly I said I would like 3 signings similar to how we did it previous summer.

Fair comment, but we could miss out on potentially good signings, especially if freebies or loans, if we are slow to act just to save a couple of months salary. You are right though it will be how SW will be thinking because he is useless and has no vision.
