Didn't we have a bundasliga winger in last summer ready to be signed on deadline day, medical done etc and then it was said we didn't have the funds to complete it?

Oliver Burke wasn't it?  ended up at Birmingham

We must have had the funds. They can send what they want and never refuse to sign a cheque.

The thing is with all these failed signings is that the initial offers that where agreed always look very bad(on our side) like why did we offer that much or for that long to even begin with!?

I mean the lewis o brian agreed fee was like 10 mill!! In hindsight do you genuinely believe he's worth anywhere near that much

Duncan Mguire.. Again agreed fee of around 7mill! For a completely unproven player at this level!

Danny Batth... Claimed he came here to sign a deal that was agreed(which may well have been true) but we backed out or reduced the terms last minute... But he ended up going to Norwich where he barely got a game and is now a free agent with seemingly not much interest in him. So again that was probably a bullet dodged

Don't get me wrong the way the deals where handled and 'accidentally failed to go through' was pathetic and embarrassing on our part, but still i can see why someone may have seen sense at the last minute and pulled the plug on these deals! (it just shouldn't have got that far in the first place)

Steven Caulker the latest player to come out and call us out as pretty shitty behind the scenes. Offer him a 2 year deal so he turns down another offer and then the owners change it to a 1 year when he’s sat in the offer.

Players and clubs won’t want to deal with us.

A familiar tale. We've heard similar before. We are dealing here with the scum of the earth and nobody should forget that.

O'Brien was a loan with the reported fee based on promotion. McGuire's initial agreed fee ok sure was reported as being closer to £2.5m.

Irrespective of the above it does sound like there's some morally corrupt people in the club. Not surprising given Cole's story of getting shafted by SW.

Sheffield Wednesday look active with their transfers, spending money and making some decent free transfers…They will do well this season!

A few people said that about Birmingham and Stoke last summer

Have ended up with a bright young manager who has has an excellent first season in charge and are backing him to take them higher.

A bit different to what we did under JDT

In the prospect of Danny Rohl I’d say they have a better chance of those but your point is valid.

Will agree that Rohl looks to be a very decent manager

You mean they've not deliberately sabotaged any effort to get the club into the playoffs and then deliberately try to get the club relegated instead?

But what about the FFP?

Sheff Weds might have been active but Hamer and Lowe aren’t exactly exciting signings. Briefly remember Valery at Southampton and he was average then, no idea now. Never heard of the other signing tbh so can’t really comment.

No but they’re free and useful squad players - they’re bolstering their squad whilst we’re still pondering.

Aye they also had their season tickets on sale in January as well so will be fully aware on their budget at this stage. We'll have Swag running round with the begging bowl next weekend when our sales halt and he's waiting for budget info from Suhail the snake.

Wasn't the Rak-Sakyi story last week but it was Luton who were in pole position?

Making it up as he goes along Nixon.
