It’s about fitness but you’d still like to see flashes of good play and some individual quality. Neither of which were present in that last 30 min

Been saying it all summer and last season but our attacking options are dreadful. We desperately need two wingers and two strikers or we will set a new low scoring record next year.

So poor.  Eustace hasn't got them well drilled.  Clueless going forward.

Is there another game with the young uns?

By far the better team in the second... third? Half? Whatever we're calling that second 30 mins (as both teams have emptied the benches for this third period). Far more intensity.

The problems still remain though, we're bereft of quality.

He might as well have been sat next to me on the sofa. What an awful performance. We passed it back more than we passed it forward. Our discipline was poor as well. Without Sammi there’s no goal threat at all.

It was good practice at walking football with sideways and backwards passing.

Our LB, I've actually forgotten his name, never passed forwards or at least not that I saw. Gally was effective when doing blindside fouls. Travis is posing wimp. Apart from that it was crap.

But, early in our pre season and we know only to well that those in show so far aren't up to much.

Has to be a signing for the u21s.

Why would he leave Nantes where he was starring for their academy to come here to play in our academy?

If any truth to It then he will be coming to be involved with the first team surely

Friendly game between the reserves and their lot are still throwing themselves to the ground and holding their heads for a slight shirt pull.

Game's gone.

You should blame the ref for allowing it 😂

I could not tell you what the two teams were instructed to do today, if there was anything.

3 weeks yesterday to season start and it looks like we need another three after that to get ourselves together.

Only upside is the away kit looks cracking. Best kitted team to get relegated from the Championship? (Got to find the positives somewhere).

No doubt whoever we do hoodwink into joining us will need a few weeks to “bed in” so scant hope of that. Our opponents on the Friday opening night have added 6 new players already.

Buckley remains an odd combination of extremely talented, lazy, cocky and unathletic. Such a fascinating player to watch stroll around a random pitch in Austria.

How nonchalant was that?

Hope i put this across correctly 😂. His composure on the ball is similar to Adam Wharton. Laid back approach, but not the same quality. Good passing range but gets caught on the ball sometimes as his game awareness is not as sharp

That's the enigma - if you could ever convince him that he doesn't actually need that extra touch on the ball and to actually look for the ball he'd be a much better player than he currently is.

As it is he strolls around the pitch thinking he's got all the time in the world.
