Ipswich seem to be doing some business now but still nothing with szmodics…Something seem off and I’ve a feeling it’s us moving the goal posts last minute. Probably asking for a higher price when, maybe, a fee was originally agreed.

We won’t be seeing any money re-invested at this rate.

Your buying into Ipswich side of things too much we have a value Ipswich haven’t met it. Don’t think there’s much more in it than that really. They had multiple sources saying about hamer agreeing terms etc there’s a lot of misinformation going about from their end

Is that a fact though? We don’t know and knowing how maggott is with deals, I wouldn’t put it past us asking for more last minute, chancing our luck. Ipswich then putting their foot down and leaving us to hang.
 

if Ipswich want him that much then this 500k deficit doesn’t stack up…Why not just pay it?

Nobody knows facts at all it’s all speculation from unverified sources (and by that I mean not from a rovers reporter or Ipswich reporter) where did the 500k come from has Elliot or bayes confirmed that? Or is that Nixon (who has got more right this season granted but negotiations wise I’m not sure he would know much) - it’s irrelevant though we have asked for a figure it hasn’t been met how/why not sure but Iv said from the outset if Ipswich really want him then pay they have the money

No way we should sell SS to Leeds.

I have no problem selling to a PL team to be part of "realizing dreams" which again will create a good reputation that Rovers is a place to develop and become better which will attract talents. 

However we should in no way sell to a Championship rival. I WILL BE FURIOUS if that happens

Ipswich is going to be a circus this year, then straight back down, from a footbaling point of view it would be a bad decision to go there, he'd be better sticking it out hete until a respectable club comes in or even better help uz get back to the promised land😅😅

 

P. S. Seems Ipswich have now signed Kalvin Philips on loan for the season to. I betting even that loan deal cost twice what they've offered for Smzodics

Good luck Ipswich.. Am I on my own in viewing Kalvin Phillips as massively over-rated (except when an unused sub which is his usual position these days).

PS Elliot Jackson suggested Szmodics came back from Ipswich to Stockport on Tuesday- if there is any truth in it I guess he was already down there on Monday.

PPS Ipswich PL fixtures before the window closes are Liverpool h, City a so if anyone gets nervous it is more likely to be them..

I think Rich Sharpe may have tipped Jackson off as to the existence of said clause.  Sharpe was the first one to mention it in his article on here this weekend

Jackson’s was tongue in cheek regarding the rumours he had been for a medical 

As for Phillips there’s a player in there and McKenna could be the man to get the best/old form out of him

All the rumour was that Sammy was having a medical for Ipswich, the medical could have been in Manchester in the morning and the joined up with Rovers in the afternoon. 

So I'll start a rumour now saying that he failed the medical in Manchester that was held at Tameside Royal Infirmary on Tuesday morning. I work in Ashton and he was in the waiting room with a work colleague of mine.
