simongarnerisgod Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 i`ll be truly amazed if stansfield ends up here,we don`t spend money like that even with 40 million banked from outgoing sales, would be a great signing though,on a par with liam delap at a quarter of the price Quote

Nic81 Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Re Travis, I may be reading too much into this, but Sammie said in his Ipswich interview that Travis had told him to go for the move and that he would benefit from working under the manager there, so he may be wanting a move himself after all? 2 Quote
roversfan99 Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Im sure New York Rover is right on the pulse with their cryptic transfer insights. Quote

And to be fair I’m not writing him off, he’s just a worse coach than JDT in my opinion. Ahh 100%, with a big budget, I would go with JDT based on what we know. But again, it’s horses for courses and Eustace is probably better suited for us and our budget than JDT was. 4 Quote

Armchair supporter supremo Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 All this talk about Signing Stansfield for relatively big money when all I want to see come in is a solid reliable keeper. After that any other signings of any size are a bonus. Having a solid keeper is going to be the decider of whether we finish top half or bottom half in my wee opinion. 6 Quote
roversfan99 Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Even if we signed a good keeper, we would struggle to compete over 46 games with the current outfield players. Nowhere near enough before you come to issues with quality. 7 Quote

Darwen Rover 007 Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Stansfield is a hidden gem in my opinion, £6m today, possible £20m in future player.. 1 Quote

We used to be in the business of such deals, Armstrong, Brereton, Gallagher. But that required Mowbray to sit around in India for a week before convincing them to do it. Those days are long gone. 2 Quote
neophox Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Stanfield...6m for a player who haven't broke in to the first team yet...what did we get for our youth players when we were in the Premier League...not much... Quote

neophox Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Think he will get Dembele as Birmingham wants rid...if he can get him right he would be an valuable asset. Think we will get Germain too. Quote
