I personally wouldn't want any of them but could see all of them appealing to the club.

Exactly this, I wouldn't want any of them except maybe Campbell...

The Club only care about saving money and doing things on the cheap, despite the fact that we've brought in around £25m since last summer (plus the incoming Raya money, and probably an extra £12m when we sell Szmodics).

I'm not far from Stoke and have plenty of friends/work colleagues who support them.

Most are glad to see the back of Campbell and say he's a complete waste of time and wasted potential.

Had a few good games towards the end of this season as it's been known for a while that he would be leaving and he's in the shop window.

It'd a gamble for sure! Suppose time is still on his side at only 24, and there is potential there if someone can get the best out of him.

Tbf there's some good players in the championship who's contracts are expiring this summer who could improve our squad

I'd take 2/3 if they're good enough with 3 signings for fees and 2 loans maximum

I want 8 signings minimum this summer or I believe we're getting relegated 

And I don't understand why we rely on loans so much when we could potentially use our own academy players and see if they can step up first and if they can that does what the club wants and generates an increase in their value for potential sales

He has the feel of one of those players who will sign for someone this summer on a free, have a stellar season, move next summer for big money, and then never get more than 5 goals in a season again for the rest of his career

Tyrese Campbell sounds very similar to the Ennis deal last summer. On paper that deal worked out as bad as he was here. Signed for free and sold for a tidy profit six months later. All be it Campbell has been playing at a higher level, he could be a calculated risk. Unfortunately I think he'll get other, more appealing options.

Was going to say, letting Gallagher go and bringing in another injury prone, 5 goals per season striker, is exactly what we need to avoid.

I doubt this will happen but if we do spend on transfers at best it will be around 10mil so saying that if you were in charge of the signings with 10mil to spend, who would you bring in? 

Going for the realistic approach of frees, loans and players for a fee, who would be your priorities to improve our match day squad

If they rate him below Ennis then we're prepping for League 1.

The simple reality is that we need investment. If we don’t get it we will find ourselves in a relegation battle all season. 
 

The flip side of that is the core players we have are pretty decent. A few quality first team additions + some squad depth and we will have a team capable of competing.

With Smozds going we will lack goals next season. No doubt about it. Therefore the foundations of our success will need to be based on our defence and therefore I feel 3-5-2 is our best bet for next season. In terms of champ level starting players in that line up I feel we can rely on week in week out in that set up:

GK: NEW

RWB: Britain

CB: Carter

CB: Hyam

CB: NEW

LWB: NEW  

CM: Tronstad

CM:JRC

CAM: NEW

ST: Dolan 

ST: NEW

Bench: Pears, Oriodran, Pickering, Travis, Buckley, Siggy, Hedges.

I am personally of the opinion that Gally needs to go. He would be useful off the bench but his wages arn’t worth it. 
 

Some easy pick ups for depth would obvs be Mcfadz and I also wouldn’t be against Ayari returning (although I actually think we’re alright in CM compared to other positions).

A back up right back is a must while I also think Chrisene would be a great shout at the LWB starting spot. Given a run of games I feel he could really push on. With 1 year left on his Villa deal, now might be a really good time to look at a perm deal. 
 

Johansen from Rotherham is the obvs choice for a new keeper. Release clause is 900k. 
 

A left footed CB will be crucial this summer - such a shame Wharton will miss the season as I thought he was class under Eustace. Pickering gives strong cover at both LCB and LWB but i wouldn’t have him as a starter.
 

The crucial signings and where the money needs to be invested is those 2 forward positions. We need two strikers minimum aswell as one player who can play in the hole. I’d look to get 1 proven championship striker alongside two European additions who we can get better value for (must have more first team experience than Telovic). 
 

Very much hoping Siggy will kick on next season with a full preseason. We need him too. 

Going to be a difficult summer.

Looking at what you're saying here and reading through some old posts we all agree it looks like we're going to go with the same formation with wing backs so if we do bring in another lwb I hope he can deliver a ball into the box and that at least 1 of the attackers can score headers or get on the end of it

Will stick my neck out on this now, Eustace at Birmingham and Kidderminster has always gone with a 4-2-3-1 when he gets a summer window to do what he wants with the playing squad and make it "his". with the back 5 as a back up for tougher games.  I see no reason why that will change.

I would right off any of our current attacking players, they are not good enough to be first team starters. Dolan, Gallagher, Siggy, Markanday, Telalovic only good for the bench or out the door IMO.

We need 3/4 new ones ideally 2 tricky, pacey type players who can dribble and 2 who can score goals inside/outside the box. Some ability to hold up the ball would be a bonus.

Preston and clubs in Germany/ Holland have apparently been watching Georgie Gent.

He’s delivered more crosses per game (7.49) than anybody else in the SPL (from left back). Motherwell fans are very complimentary of him.

Hopefully another academy product who is going to get an opportunity to shine for us.

The problem with Gent is, when he played in our U23s he didn't stand out. I am not saying he hasn't improved, but he didn't stand out.

Must admit that I always preferred him to Batty.  Seems Gent has made significant progress this season whilst Batty has been in and out, in terms of form this season.  Be interesting to see if Gent is brought back.  Hopefully, Eustace gets a chance to look at him in pre-season.
