I'll believe it when I see it.

....and even then the announcement by the club may not be sufficient. New bar for a signing may need to be them playing a competitive fixture and the club not being sanctioned for it.

Going to be difficult against Boro & Sunderland (especially if the latter looses clark) - HOWEVER, he does follow Rovers on insta and i've been clinging on to that for the past 6 weeks lol

Probably a “hurry up and pay the money “ plea from his Agent 😄😄 trying to generate a move

Anyone else got a bad feeling that Ohashi is gonna get hijacked by another Club?

Free, low wages, no competition... it all just seems too good to be true.

Exactly this. Much rather none of this had come out about the fee until it was done and dusted.

The only danger to this deal is our own incompetence.

Random question: When a player flies to complete a transfer (like our incoming/potentially incoming/possibly incoming new signing), who pays for the flights?

I'm not too sure, I'd guess we still owe Duncan Mcguire for his though!

If it’s us I hope he’s only got carry on luggage, we won’t have stretched to hold.

So weve allowed him to miss a whole pre season then decided to go back for him out of desperation?

So not only is he not far off 38 years old. But he is going to be unfit.

Terrible idea.

Absolutely crazy that at 37 he can miss a pre season and yet we still sign him 🙈

Yep terrible planning all round and it's now smacking of a desperate signing.

The Ohashi deal dragging into next week isn't good news either, as it just gives more time for us to fuck it up.

How fit was he when he joined us last season? And if the manager wants him back then it’s clearly not a terrible idea to him, which us what ultimately counts.

Call it pessimism, if you like, but sudden uptick in some activity smacks of an impending cash departure (likely Szmodics). Delays are clearly to do with availability of cash/budget as some has been freed up.

McFadzean being rekindled after months of talks inactivity especially so.

I reckon the Ohashi deal is being delayed to coincide with Szmodics’ expected departure.

We’re away at Morecambe tonight - Szmods being left out again as a precaution?

Even this Ohashi chap is a free now. So much for some believing that Venky’s were going to let us spend even just a fraction of all the gold they’ve received over the past 18 months.

Obviously our opinion doesnt count really.

But just because Eustace wants it. And that assumes that he does, because its not as straightforward as that because hes clearly got no money to play with. That doesnt make it automatically the correct decision.

He is too old, he cannot play in a back 4, he is so slow that we have to play really deep to cover his lack of pace (see Plymouth for how that can go wrong) and he he turns 38 this season.

And what is key. This was surely an easy deal to do. So if we were so keen, at least sign him up before the end of pre season.

Yep looks like Sammies wage is being re-invested.

Mcfadz was handy last season but with another 8 million + sale pending is re-signing him the best this club and recruitment dept can come up with ?

Or is it just the easy lazy old boys network option ?
