they definately do not want us in the premier league, how many times have we threatened the top six only for them to stop the momentum by selling players, not pressing  the submit button or failing to back the manager on deadline day

All this crap of they want us back in the Premiership is a lie.

One, they can’t afford us to be promoted and two, they would be under the spotlight more.

What would be found out then? Well I wonder🤔

PL football, demands PL money re investment. Of course they do not want us there, yet the money the PL could raise is something you would want to be a part of. There is just some dark and hidden agendas still at play with Venkys.

Guessing they now have enough to get them through this season.

The hope will be that Gueye bags 20 goals and he is the next one next summer to command a fee, possible outside bet of someone like Carter getting a decent fee too.

Rinse and repeat, the hope will always be that someone steps up and can he sold.

Wondering if our operating costs and wages will continue to create a 20m “hole” despite obvious cutbacks - just who is being paid and for what…

Otherwise our recent sales and cutbacks coupled with increased revenue from tv, cup run, “record sponsor deals” (🤔) and slightly higher attendances should mean that “20m a season” is no longer needed although a certain amount of extra funding is required I’m sure for most championship clubs

Unless Ipswich gets off to a cracking start, and on the front foot, its might be possible that Sammie has a rough season. Would have liked to have seen Sammie go to a team like Everton or Brighton, but good luck to him.

I think Ipswich is a good fit for him playing style and time will tell if they have enough to stay up or not but certainly signing players to give themselves a good chance

itl be down to McKenna if he does a kompany and refuses to change his tactics in the prem particularly away from home and against the ‘big boys’ they will be found out but I think he’s way better than kompany and won’t be as gung ho

Well we've now got a 'Chief Operating Officer' getting settled in to his newly created job even though he's already paid to fill several other roles together with our 'Chief Executive' and numerous 'Head ofs'

Won't be cheap

Good luck Sammie - you deserve a shot at it.

Fee reported by BBC and Ipswich sources as £9million plus add ons,.  Was NEVER going to exceed £10million.

Jesus Dolan is pants, if any one is expecting him to kick on they will be very disappointed.

We need a starting quality, goalkeeper, leftback, left winger , creative midfielder stat

I'm one of his biggest critics, but he clearly has something to offer playing centrally as a #10.

Another sad day for Rovers when Szmodics leaves.

This window selling the Championship Top Goalscorer, just signed a contract & playing at the peak of his career, for only £10m.

The last window selling one of English Football’s brightest young talents, just signed a contract & didn’t want to leave, for only £18m.

What a joke. Fuck off Venkys.

£9m

If the Nixon scuttlebutt is true and we were offering him £22k a week, someone needs to man up, pay Leicester their asking price for Iverson and offer him the same contract.

A good GK will have as much of an impact on our final points tally as Szmodics would this season.

Priority is a new NUMBER 1 GOALKEEPER who will save us 15 points a season over the calamitous Pears.  May well be the difference between relegation and 'survival' in the Championship.  How our hopes and aspirations have been feckin dashed.

Stop momentum by selling players? One of the biggest criticisms of the owners in recent years has been them stubbornly holding on to our best players in the hope of promotion and then having to let them go for nothing. Brereton and Rothwell immediately come to mind.

Selling our best players on our terms and for a decent profit is not a bad thing. We’ve not done enough of it in the last 5/6 years.

SS deserves the move and £10m is just about acceptable when you consider his age and minimal sell on value for Ipswich. What we do now is critical.

Fucking hell

Szmodics ➡️ Dolan, that's some serious downgrade.

I'll repeat, if they don't spend some good money and buy an adequate replacement for Szmodics, we will struggle.

Dolan is Szmodics replacement, i think Eustace said something last week about that. Could be wrong tho. We need a winger with pace on the left. Possibly another forward who can up front and wide.

Sammie gone according to SSN, medical in the morning.

I see three scenarios playing out:

1) Venkys win their court case on Tuesday and - subject to still being interested in doing so - begin to fund the club again. That will mean we will have the Szmodics money and potentially the Raya money to spend this window.

2) Venkys have their case pushed back again and the Szmodics money is banked to cover running costs until January

3) Venkys lose the court case, the Szmodics money is used to cover loses whilst a buyer is fou

What happened to the Wharton money?

Nicko and Rovers say £10m plus add ons. Ipswich mess us around for weeks
