We shouldn't be entertaining bids for Travis now he has looked better after being a bit lost under jdt and be another big personality lost from the dressing room

If he does go I'd expect they will try sneak him out the door on deadline day after bringing in a couple of loans from prem academy's which the more casual fan will swallow as good business

Not a good look, loaning out your captain, bringing him back, reinstating him as captain and then selling him after 3 games.

Exactly , the fact he is captain clearly points towards Travis being a player the manager doesn't want to lose

Only way it would be a small bit acceptable if it was Travis demanding a transfer but I highly doubt that to be the case now he is back in the starting line up,but I'd still hope the club would stand their ground a little if that was the scenario he is under contract here

Just don't understand the push from some to 'sell' Travis.

Different scenario if clubs were lining up 1 million plus bids but they aren't, still i suppose Gallagher has gone so focus has shifted to the next target.

Travis is and always has been a valuable member of our squad, far from perfect like most of them but his good spells always seem to coincide with us doing ok. There is a reason Ipswich wanted him just to provide a bit of strong back up for the job in hand, be a ball winning water carrier which is what he is.

Every strong squad needs one of those.

I'd like to see him do at least half a season under Eustace and see where we are in Jan although i understand from his point his point of view he might be looking for a last good contract.  Unlikely he'll get that here and Rovers taking decent money for him with the intention to RE-INVEST in a younger replacement is also fair enough in the next 12 months.

Just shoving him out the door to get him off the payroll for the sake of it is bollocks, did nobody learn anything from last season ?

Stanfield...6m for a player who haven't broke in to the first team yet...what did we get for our youth players when we were in the Premier League...not much...

Our Youth players didn't score a dozen goals in the Championship at 20.

Plus y'know, £3m used to buy you Alan Shearer. The game has changed.

Think he will get Dembele as Birmingham wants rid...if he can get him right he would be an valuable asset. Think we will get Germain too.

Dembele, Poku, Germain, Stansfield and a GK - sell Dolan / Sigurdsson.

Dream window (as far as dream windows go for this corpse of a club).

poku as replacement for travis

stansfield signs

goalkeeper who can actually keep goal

decent right back so brittain concentrate on crossing the ball, cos he can`t defend

Kwame Poku is a winger.

Losing any first team player at this stage is never recommended….particularly one who wears the arm band … However, as the last couple of seasons have shown , Travis is not a box to box midfielder, more like a halfway line to box midfielder.

His fitness is an issue, his collecting of cards is an issue and his inability to take a ball ,on the turn , from the back four is an issue …it’s a worry when we are clamouring for his selection as first choice midfielder.

If we are hoping to progress , in any way, Travis is not the answer….just as he wasn’t for Kieron McKenna .

We have to keep Travis, he's back to what got him in the side, box to box energy, sure he's a bit of a false hardman,  but at least he's in people's faces and sticks up for his teammates, we went years without anyone doing that. I still think he has more to give.

If we don't have a keeper at the end if this window,  it's totally unacceptable given the farce with De Lange. The most important player on the pitch.

Flavien Boyomo at Valldolid. Spanish 2nd division centre back. Is one to watch, silly loan to buy deal potentially in the works. (We know how they work out)

I believe counts as home grown as well as ex academy product.

We may revisit this come Jan.

Stansfield is a hidden gem in my opinion, £6m today, possible £20m in future player..

You mean £6 mill today, £9 mill next season...

Hmmm not knocking him because all I've seen of him is a few of his goal highlights.

Just a little food for thought....

But on paper his record isn't much different to Gallagher's when he first joined us on loan, Gallagher also managed to score around 13 goals that season whilst here on loan in a team that was relegated (as Birmingham where with Stansfield last season

I do appreciate they different types of forwards through (although I'm still trying to figure out what type of forward Gallagher was, other than pretty ineffectual in most areas)

Starting centre back in la liga be a bit of a step down wouldn’t you say
