What is he like defensively? From those clips he looks more like a winger than a left back.

Going off that film - he likes a tackle, but he’s got the young players failing of going to ground a bit too easily at the moment. Go to ground and miss out, you’re out of the game. There wasn’t much evidence of penetrative passing of the ball. Running it out from full back can be risky, see Brittain at Norwich. I’d like to see more passing and less running. No sign of heading challenges there so maybe that’s a weakness ?

Don’t know anything about him bar the video posted. Looked like he could be useful playing in a back 5

And that’ll be our lot folks…

Venky’s: What £41m?

"Loans aren't free you know, they need paying"

"We don't get £41 million all in one go, it's spread over a few years"

"FFP"

"Just back the manager and lads FFS"

All set and ready to go come Saturday morning.

Beck underwhelming.

Eustace said signings to improve the team.  Is Beck an upgrade on Pickering - think not

Cantwell - no, no and no again.   IMO, a legend only in his own mind - hasn't he downed tools at Rangers and been relegated to the stiffs!?  Not the type of attitude we want here.  If we have any sense we wouldn't even touch him with a shitty stick.

Cantwell is naturally a No10.

I think he’d be an improvement on Dolan personally.

Played CAM in Rangers, but has attributes to play as a winger,

also Beck looks to have a decent cross -

could be useful

Todd Cantwell could prove to be a shrewd signing. Bags of potential, footballing iq, versatile and can play both wings.

Also wears my favorite number 13. Bring him in

The lads quality, a Robbie Savage type but more ability, but his wages are beyond our reach, £25k+ a week.

Can’t see it happening.

Think you’re right. Probably fancies himself too good for Championship also

Christ people Need to calm down 🤣 makes sense a loan for a LB.

I’d take Cantwell if he’s coming with a point to prove and get his career back on track. Hopefully eustace can get a tune out of him.

travers on loan for a season will do as he’s a huge upgrade on pears. (If it happens)

Hopefully spend some money on other areas. (Can’t see it mind) and I think it’s a joke we haven’t yet.

most teams that do very well tend to have great loans.

Cantwell went up to Scotland to “ get his career back on track “. He could have been a player if he’d have wanted to be. He’s got the tools. Does he want to be a player now ?

As in, he has blonde hair down to his shoulders? As that is literally where the comparisons end.

He asked for a transfer, hasn’t downed tools, the manager has great respect for the lad but won’t play him as he wants a move.

If he came to Ewood he would be our best player, we can only dream

I feel like of the 4 positions we know we need to strengthen, full back cover is the least exciting and the most understandable to get a loan in. He seems like he had a good spell in Scotland and had other Championship suitors so seems reasonable on the face of it.

Loaning a keeper is much less ideal although if we can get Travers or Rushworth then at least we have a significant upgrade. But that has to be the end of the loans.

The key to this window is whether we then buy 2 or 3 more on top of that for reasonable fees and spend a bit of money. Definitely a winger with speed, if not 2 then at least another attacker, and definitely a midfielder. I would like at least one player who is quite young, could improve us now and we can potentially develop into a top player, perhaps a Stansfield or a Aasgaard. Sadly, this is where I expect due to our terrible owners and to a lesser extent our messed up management team will lead us to serious disappointment.

Todd Cantwell doesnt make any sense in our disorganised transfer planning. He isnt quick or an out and out winger and also we shouldnt go for any more loans. He also seems like a dickhead who could aggravate the dressing room.

A Cantwell style player is what we haven’t got at the moment. Maybe the plan is him in and Buckley out ?

Not according to this:

Think his attitude stinks - Rovers need to dodge this bullet.
