Players without a club can be signed at any time, clubs can sign players on loan dependent on their league's regulations, and clubs could sign a goalkeeper on an emergency loan if they had no registered senior goalkeeper available.

I think half of our team probably could play that sort of way now. Trav would relish it. Szmodics would've thrived too.

A lot of it is about mindset as much as how you set up. Similarly to how that Mark Hughes team was such a nightmare to play against.

Certainly refreshing to see outgoing loans to football league and SPL clubs.

O'Riordan, Markanday, Batty, Vale, Garrett and Gamble will all get move value this season playing more first team football than being 20-25 in our squad. 

Would probably move Gilsenan and Leonard if they were fit, and also Hilton if we get Tóth through.

Loan out you fringe players to loan in theoretically better fringe players is the model.

Meanwhile, over in India, Pune residence hears the name 'Cantwell' for the first time:

They probably haven't got a clue who Cantwell is and whether he is any good or not and will be relying on somebody to sell it to them. If that somebody is shadow man or his car salesman buddy, then I think we can move on. Just get it done! A player of his quality doesn't become available for £500k very often. It's a no brainer.

Lewis Baker was highly rated as a Chelsea youngster, but doesn't seem to have done a lot since. Not seen much of him at Stoke, so will have to wait and see what he looks like here. Tomorrow is going to be interesting to say the least. Can Park and Co pull out a couple of left field signings that nobody has mentioned?
