I wonder if we go back in for Liam Cooper now his deal with Hull has fallen through?

As he is out of contract, he can move after the window closes.  He may wait a week or 2 and see who is the highest bidder/most desperate club

Siggy must be on decent wages seeing as clubs have come in then not followed up … Him & JRC look so heavy legged … it’s like they are running in trickle ….
Buckley is another that has fallen even further down the pecking order now Baker is in also as 2 new wingers are incoming …and JRC can play in that position too …No interest in him too up to now …..

They were hoping to move them on …

Sitting here on this transfer eve, if we manage to bring in the hungry keeper,

Thank goodness we’ve signed a Baker. And he didn’t want a lot of dough to come here.

Bucko sure is om front Of JRC in that position. He is vice captain. Can’t be that eager to get rid.

Wait, TWO new wingers… Are you classing Cantwell as a winger or expecting Cantwell, the keeper, plus two wingers?

Siggy looked better against Blackpool but struggles defensively. His contract runs out next summer, right?

And no to Cooper from me. More of the same, we need a quicker more agile CB.

So seems like we are going to end up with the below as it stands . Are we better off as a squad ? I would suggest so , just need that little bit extra pace up top

Walstead - tóth

Crisene - beck

Oriorden - batth

Fleck - Baker

Garrett- trav and buckley back

Moran - weimann

Telalovic - ohashi

Gallagher - gueye

Markanday - crozier-dubarry

Szmodicz - cantwell

Siggy is too soft and lazy. He doesn’t fit this team.

If he can't be sold, he is a very useful option/source of goals from the bench, but he likely isn't a starter due to work rate/consistency

I like Siggy and think injuries have done him an injustice. Would love to see him kick on and earn a new contract offer. It’s up to him to sign or leave.

I also really like Dolan. I really think given a run in a his preferred position, could bring out his best.

Football Manager expectations for today assuming the keeper has already signed:

Cantwell

2 quick out and out wingers (no 'can play across the 3' bollocks).

One of which is permanent.

1x forward

1x CB

3 loans and 2 permanent.

No issues with Siggy/Dolan/Hedges being offloaded.

Expectations:

Cantwell falls through.

1 loan winger that we've never heard of.

Cb on loan.

Out: Buckley, Siggy.

Nixon was saying yesterday they are still looking for a pacey left winger on loan

I feel like Waggott is doing the old Football Manager tactic of offering stupid unreachable bonuses. We'll offer £50k plus £5mil if we win the champions league this year!

That would be counter productive unless they are replaced and given it’s now deadline day don’t think that’s a reasonable option. We need a decent squad as many have mentioned here before with the long season - 3 game weeks - injuries - suspensions

some players need to accept certain roles

manager also can’t churn out the same 11 every game

we need more on top of who we have got now not ones out the door
