We've already blow 800k plus add ons probably on Leo so the chances of any keeper changes are virtually zero i'm afraid.

The only chance was when Pears was doing ok earlier under Eustace he might have caught the attention of another Champ club who want an English keeper in their squad for a modest fee.

That would've freed up a wage and position but i dread t think who Broughton would've foisted on us next, most likely Leo !!!

Pears has that one game in 10 where he looks like prime Buffon, but in the other 9 he ranges from a steady championship keeper to a Sunday League bench player. Unfortunately, the latter almost always comes up in key matches where we're expected to do well, like yesterday.

Was barely qualified to be on the bench when we signed him and should never have been a number 1 at this level. Whoever made the decision to keep him in (JDT or otherwise) last season needs to give their head a wobble.

Yes this is the issue. he's top class 1 in 10, average in 4 of 10 and horrific in 5. You can't have a keeper who is going to cost you goals and games in 50% of your games.

And we have got two.

Indeed. That's quite a talent.

Mind you under Venkys keepers have generally been an afterthought  - Walton, Steele, the other lad who played instead of Raya.

And even our better managers TM and JDT (though that's not a hugh bar) made blunders in the keeper area. TM doubted Raya had premier league potential and JDT kept Pears in when Kaminski returned from injury

Shows all of his errors leading to goals this season.

He’s that bad an account with 675k followers has accused him of match fixing 😂

I'd like to think the only way he's dodgy is in the eyeballs but that lowlight reel is grim.

If you're going to purposely let one in though there are less obvious ways than Sundays howler.

That video definitely does not show all of his errors!

The 4th one, where he just sinks to his knees with no other movement, has happened more than once as has just standing still as the ball goes in.

Makes me wonder if he needs glasses.

Does anyone outside of Mashed Potato Head, Mani and Chaddy actually think this bloke should be our #1?

See no reason for Toth not to be starting now, give him a run of games to settle in - would hate to see the collection of howlers he’s dished out since nepotism got him a contract at our club.

The reserve keepers must be absolutely shite in training.

This man costing us way too many games season after season.

Recently we have got into the habit of getting rid of our best keepers, and keeping the shit ones, who gives this advice to our leaders ?

No sell on value in this fella though, so stuck with him for now

As a boot cleaner hopefully, although I'd hate to think how many boots he'd drop.

It's clear to everyone that he's an absolute liability - and is costing us games on a regular basis.

Opposition managers are obviously targeting him as our weak point.

This season isn't far from being written off now, so just drop him and put either Toth or Michalski in.

I'd give Toth a go at this point. We aren't getting top six so give the boy a chance and let's see what he can do with a run of games. Not giving players a chance when first teamers are consistently underperforming sends out a terrible message and doesn't give the second string players any motivation.

Are those who are saying Toth is worse than Pears basing that on inside info from the training ground as it surely cannot be from only 3 first team appearances. If he cost a few hundred thousand he should surely be given a few more matches to show he's not up to it?

Having someone who can do the basics and not cost us at least one goal per match would also be OK.
