But nobody else has and there must be a reason for that. Just give it up M*B, it ain’t happening.

It was in WATRs ‘prospectus’ as an idea, because it is obviously a good one from a fan’s perspective - so why didn’t the club take them up on it considering they did introduce other ideas from WATR this summer?

Bit defeatist, "nobody else has"???

What happened to having the emptiest ground and coming up with ways of filling it? It's just an idea, and I'm not having it that someone has mentioned it before, not in this form.

As I say, it's just an idea, the two families I spoke to would take it up, just knocking 40 or 50 quid off doesn't suit their needs.

I’m not being defeatist, that’s the club, I say let’s go for it!  It would work nicely for a lot of fans, alas the club won’t go for it, not a lot else to be said on it really.

However, what they can do just like success stories at other clubs is make it say £250 and load of the types of folk you mention would just buy one anyway as it wouldn’t matter half as much if they had to miss a few at that price - which is what you hear time and again from Bolton and PNE fans.

Jesus Christ Matty, this is getting to be as epic as one of chaddy and rovers99's famous multi page battles.

So it should be, it's an epic idea.

Radical but epic.

I’ve no issue in debating with M_B as you can have one in good spirits (unlike some odd fella that has suddenly sprung up elsewhere).

The flexi ticket would only be an acceptable idae and could only work if it was priced accordingly with a well priced season ticket.

It would have to be something like £250 for the season ticket and £200 for a 10 game flex ticket.

That's the only way it would ever work as I think most people would just go "fuck it, it's only an extra £50 for all 23 games".

All of this is only ever going to be a hypothetical discussion as long as the club is stricken with the venky cancer.

I honestly can't think of one thing that could be construed as a positive that has happened in the last 14 years. That's a good effort really.

Exactly. If it’s only £50 cheaper you’d think sod it, I’ll just buy a full one.

If it was half the price you would have (in my opinion but unproven) a bigger migration with people downgrading than those actually taking up the offer. That’s based on my circumstances (and I do actually get to most midweek games with some difficulty ) and also what I see around me at Ewood on a Tuesday night.

Is there a tipping point where it works? £210 against £300? I’m not sure.

@M_B disagrees but it’s very difficult to prove or trial. I see the logic in how it would appeal to some people cost-wise. I just don’t think it commercially would make sense to Rovers, and the gain in weekend support and atmosphere would be negated by the loss in mid-week support.

Week to go before an eighty quid hike (and no pay day for most folk either in that time).

Many public sector workers are paid 15th each month, but I doubt it will make much difference to the numbers.

The product has always been the most important factor and right now it’s poor with no signs of improvement.

The most epic idea is too follow the lead of Preston, Bolton, Huddersfield, Bradford and indeed the former well run proper Blackburn Rovers FC and slash full ST prices.

Give everyone a chance to come, remove the stumbling blocks and excuses of part timers and stick 3 to 5 thousand extra in Ewood overnight.

That's radical and it's guaranteed to work even with the crap that's been going on under this lot, anything else is a bit pointless.

We were discussing the general, rotten incompetence at all levels of Rovers and talk came to loyalty points. When the scheme was introduced, I checked and I had 180-odd points (ST plus several away and cup games). I checked today, post renewing my ST (120 more) and now I have 61. WTF?

How sad it is to assume they couldn't run a piss-up in a brewery, log in to confirm and quickly have it confirmed!

So someone’s been stealing your points?

I hope it’s those thieves in India and they have transferred them to the league table for the up coming season. We will need them I think.

I got round to renewing our two tickets on Sunday morning.

That website though, Christ alive it's bad. It took me half an hour to get rid of the 400 errors. I'm a software engineer, so at least I have half a clue. Anyone less tech savvy would just give up.

I do find it strange how the system is so different for different people.

I logged in and did it within a minute yet know some who had absolute nightmares trying to do it.
