WacoRover Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Looking at early results: brum, & Millwall up, hull winning. Yes, I know we alone control our destiny, but it’s amazing the fight in the clubs around us. 1 Quote

davulsukur Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Probably mentioned earlier but we are the first away team to win at Elland Road this season. 👊 2 Quote
davulsukur Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Obviously, Birmingham and Milwall both winning 1 Quote
Miller11 Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Brilliant that. The perfect reaction. Great to see Carter back, he makes a big difference and for me is our best defender. I was very nervous when McFadzean came on but he was excellent today. JRC MOTM. You’d have to say that Eustace executed the perfect game plan today. With no excuses around P&S/FFP this summer we should be in a position to build a proper squad again based around things other than just “the numbers”. Obviously the cashflow and court case issues will be the biggest factor though unfortunately. 2 Quote
Exiled in Toronto Mk2 Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Best Pears game since he came back, Carter added some much needed bollocks and rarely gives it away, Hyam played safe, Wharton showed why JDT binned him, midfield two good as ever, McFaz immense - paid for his swansong gig in that one half, Sammy our only threat, but what a lethal one. 3 Quote
WacoRover Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Also, 36,000+ at Elland today. So happy that 30,000+ of those are disappointed, lol 1 Quote
DackDackGoose Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Point or win against wednesday and we're safe 2 Quote
Ianrally Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Leicester lost, Leeds lost and Ipswich losing. The Championship is so much more exciting than the Prem, nobody wants promotion. 2 Quote

Hopefully it was just a bad day at the office and we'll just keep on picking up points now without anymore horrorshows 1 Quote
Upside Down Posted April 13, 2024 Author Posted April 13, 2024 I thought the ref was good today, I was actually surprised at how lenient he was with our time wasting. Those penalty claims were a complete joke. They deserved to lose for that alone, the fucking Yorkshire cunts. 🌹🌹🌹 3 Quote

SpaceBarSlam Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 This club, this league. Never a dull moment. That feeling of getting the win when you've had your backs against the wall for the entire match and coming off the back of a 5-0 loss? Nothing like it. 4 Quote
WacoRover Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 One thing is sure: Our Rovers are capable of playing some excellent footie on occasion. As the results at Sund, S’oton & Leeds attest, all great performances. Now, the record at Ewood, I have no explanation for that. Quote
Popular Post AllRoverAsia Posted April 13, 2024 Popular Post Posted April 13, 2024 To be fair to Leeds they did a good deed today. They went into Leeds city centre, found 2 down and outs bin dipping and gave them an afternoon out at the football. They didn't have time to arrange a shave and clean up but its the thought that counts. 10 Quote
Danishfan Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Great win today! What's your thoughts about Hyam today? I was watching on a very small screen, and can't really tell, but was he there? Did he play well, and did he deliver a proper reaction to last game disaster? Quote
Rover8T4 Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 One of those games where all that effort did not come undone and lose points. Scoring a late winner which is very rare for us as of late to take all 3 points is refreshing. Avoid defeat against wednesday and that should be enough Quote

Whose fault is that ? 1 Quote

So far as far as I can see thus far he's done the job he needed to do I.e. reduce the amount of goals being conceded and keep us up. And all he has generally had since arriving has been dog's abuse primarily because he isn't JDT. Am I absolutely convinced he's the right man going forward? Not yet but the time to judge him is fifteen games into next season. Hopefully his team will have a much better feel for the Transfer market than that twerp Broughton as well. 6 Quote

Neal Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 There's nothing in this league other than mentality. The difference in quality is negligible, it's just having the right manager with the right philosophy for the right players. Plymouth at Ewood looked a far better team than Leeds. It could have been a very different season for us if their mentality/attitude was better. 3 Quote
West Yorks Rover Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 (edited) Bristol C 0 Hudds 0 HT Typical Bristol haven't had a shot in the first half, Hudds have had 5. Brum battering Coventry too. 2-0 should be more. Edited April 13, 2024 by West Yorks Rover 1 Quote
