New Tv deal, bollox to the fans.......

Four more Rovers games have been altered, with two particularly inconvenient changes, including away games at Watford and Cardiff City.

Rovers' trip to Watford on October 26 is now a 12:30pm kick-off, as is their visit to South Wales on November 9.

Home matches have been moved to the early Saturday TV slot as well. Sheffield United and burnley will now kick off at 12:30pm at Ewood Park, on November 2 and January 4, respectively.

Gav, lets be honest the Burnley games were always going to be moved for TV coverage.

This influx of numerous 12.30 kick offs each week is just totally inconsiderate. Just have 1 game there.

So what other kick offs time do you for other 2 days?

The EFL and the club's wanted more money for TV so in order to achieve this more games on the telly.

This deal should never have been allowed. There are teams with 2/3 of their games on TV so that is a crazy amount of games moved.

Yes we all know it’s the fault of the clubs, nobody feels sorry for the clubs, especially as the extra cash will go straight out their accounts again into higher wages for players and agent fees.

We feel sorry for the fans, we know you struggle to empathise with that as you’d be there at 4am etc etc.

Who was going to stop this deal given it was the EFL clubs who wanted more TV revenue so the EFL negotiated the best deal they could for what was vote

I have plenty of empathy for fans effective by the change of kick off time but this was always going to be case.

4am? would be fantastic given I worked night 😉

Football in the UK is changing with clubs wanted more TV revenue income so more games go on TV

For anybody who wants to go to a long distance away game by train a 12.30 kick off just isn't convenient and sometimes impossible. If I am having to drive to those two it's going to be a 6-6.30 am start which I consider wholly inconvenient. Last season we played Norwich at Carrow Road in a moon kick off. The coaches left Ewood at 5 am. When was the last time you did a 200 plus mile trip to an away game for an early kick off? It's fine just going to home games where early kick offs aren't too much hassle for many but what about the away fans like QPR who we play in September in an early kick off.

We all know why the clubs and Sky have done it but that doesn't make it any easier for fans who actually travel to away games.

So you do understand it’s inconvenient for a lot of fans because of greedy clubs, which is the point everybody is making - glad we are all on the same page!

Totally understand completely Matty as I said a number of times but I also accept that football is changing and that clubs thought the TV rights were worth more than they were getting.

I fully accept all that this new TV deal massively affects match going fans. I was speaking to a friend this morning who is die hard Blackpool FC STH and goes to many away games. He almost walk away this season from going cos of the cost of STH and the changing kick off times. Also said he will be doing less less away games this coming season cos of this new TV deal.

On your question, not recently like yourself, I wanted to go Leeds away last season but situation didn't allow at all. Now doing away games is much more difficult cos of my missus illness getting worse and me needed to be home more. I missed doing the away games and local ones are much easier cos of the time away from home.

I understand the comments and concerns from Rovers supporters in the UK. However, as a long time Rovers fan in the US, signing up to RoversTV for another year is a must, even with the price increase. I have no option since, as we all know, being a Rovers fan is an addiction that can't be cured. So for me, this is just the price of being an expat and I have to pay it. The games being shown on TV in the UK will likely also be shown in the US on ESPN+, so I am signed up to them too. Although prices are increased it sounds like we will get a better quality feed than previously. I just hope that we get enough new players in to allow me to open my eyes when the game is on.

Andy! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

CBS & Paramount+ have the USA rights for the League Cup & lower divisions now; ESPN & ESPN+ have only The FA Cup. I'm lying low until I've a better idea of just how much of the fixture list will be available between CBS, CBSSN & Paramount+ before I buy anything.

Wrong again ABBEY, but you just carry blaming Sky and ranting about it. You all knew about this TV deal was in place

Watford last season was on Sunday at dinner time. 1 nil win with good finish
