Lads, I do have a photo of me and Weller on my office wall so you’re not too far out really!

The first thing he does when you meet him is check your shoes. 
 

If you see photos of PW in the late noughties he had actually let himself go a bit then both in terms of body shape and his clobber. But thankfully he sobered up in 2010 and has looked good ever since. He’s also a nicer person, very warm and interested in what you do in life. I’m really glad I met him. 
 

I wish he would stop copying my clobber though - I see he wore a Brooks Brothers polo shirt after me mentioning it on here the other day 😉😂

Nice polo shirt. I see all the usual brands ( Lacoste, Gant, Fred Perry, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein etc etc. ) on sale in most places but I can’t recall seeing a “ Brooks Brothers “  polo shirt on sale. As you can imagine I have quite an extensive collection of polo shirts. I like them a lot. They’re smart/casual and very comfortable.

Speaking of shoes, year ago I spotted a pair of Roberto Cavalli champagne suede Chelsea boots, the ones with the elasticated sides. A mere snip at £75, down from about £300. They were perfect apart from a small biro mark about 10mm long near the sole on one boot. That’s why they were in TKMaxx.

When  I got them home I could get them on ok but I couldn’t get them off again. They fitted so well and with the elastic being new I wasn’t strong enough. Mrs Shoelaces had to drag them off for me ! Now any time I go out wearing them I have to be sure she’ll be home when I get back so she can help me off with them !

Did anyone buy a pair of these back in the day? Adidas Darwen? Never met anyone who got a pair.

No, never bought any of those, pretty ugly looking things to be fair! I noticed some Adidas Garwen on sale as part of the recent Spezial drop. I’ve never seen them before, thought it was a typo! 
 

as for the Blackburn ones. Just going to wear them on Rovers when the sun is out. So twice a year in September and May!

Bizarrely mine are still white as and I've had them since I was 19. Not sure how I managed that especially considering some of the states I used to get myself into.

Still got em, maybe bust them out next time I've got a gig.

I had a pair back in the day (circa 78-80) but then again so did just about everyone my age. 
No offence mate but unless I was playing in a Jam tribute band I wouldn’t wear them now. 😉

I reckon I can get away with it. Hardly anyone knows who the Jam are here. Fucking heathens.
