I don't know how he managed it, because he's far from charming, but he managed to convince the owners to back him with significant cash and allowed him to have free run of the place (appointed Waggott, Venus was our defacto Head of Recruitment etc).

Should have kept Mowbray on to sign players for Tomasson,could have been a dream team.

Main thing with TM is not only did he have a mid table budget he was also never ever forced to sell a player which is unheard of here under this ownership.

JDT here 5 mins and loses several good players.

TM wasn't a flop he just did what it said on the tin but he wasn't good either.

Both Mowbray and Tomasson did not only good jobs here, but totally different jobs here. Mowbray inherited a much worse situation, so although he had more funds, that was in the earlier years when the squad he inherited had been run down and stacked with crap and freebies. Ultimately like with Tomasson, when we got in a position of strength, he was really undermined by our shoddy owners.

Whilst I think he had a better record than suggests, I don't think that second statement is close to true. The current debt is about 200 mill. I don't think we were getting anything like 100 mill from selling Dack, Brereton, Rothwell and maybe getting a bit more for Armstrong (even that one is predicated on if he was fully contracted at the time, rather than the actual timing being any different). More like 35-40, assuming we didn't replace them.

Back to Leicester, they have almost nothing to be excited about, playing this game. If they play several starters, those guys are quality. Their reserves are better than some of our starters. If they play youth, those kids will try to impress. 

I expect a strong effort from our players.
I don’t think we have much hope of getting a point, but if we do, we’re going to earn it.

I don't think we'll see any effort from our players. I think they're going to roll over very easily and give Leicester the party they are after.

They've won the league. They are being presented with the trophy. They are at home, playing before a full house of their celebrating fans. They will want to be at Leicester in the PL.

They will start with their best team to thank both the players and fans.

We are in for a difficult time.

We will lose but not be relegated but Sheff Wed will go above us in league position.

I want Brum to go down but also think both Brum and Plymouth will lose.

Come Saturday, mid afternoon I'll be wishing I was a betting man.

Mowbray was allowed 4 players in that Jan window when one or two decent forwards would have been enough, JDT was allowed what ?  Sorba Thomas ?

TM fecked that window up badly and lets not bring Rothwell into it that was pie in the sky the facts are the 4 he brought in where all wrong.  One of them was a good player in his true position but within a few months here he'd played several different roles instead of his own and was benched for being so poor.

The season after he went back to being a specialist in his real position.

Trying to be optimistic here, everyone thought that we would get hammered at Leeds,  but we ended up winning. So, getting a draw against a team already champions is possible as long as we don’t leave ourselves exposed at the back, as they are a counter attacking side. Parking the bus could work, but if we concede first we are screwed. 
At least it is in our hands.

Yes it is, but like you say, concede one and we are as good as beat, we actually have a fairly decent record last games of the season, even the one we went down we managed to hammer Brentford. An early goal for us would settle nerves

When we beat Leeds we knew that they really needed to win. One of the tactics was to slow/stop the game at every opportunity. Every restart was laboured and within a few minutes the anger of the crowd came through loud and clear. It was definitely the right approach and worked well. Saturday is different for me as Leicester are already the champions and the players and crowd will be relaxed and under no pressure. Whilst Eustace will probably still take this approach I don't think we will be able to capitalise on any anxiety from the Leicester players or crowd like we did at Leeds.
