We owe everything to Sammie Szmodics. The most talismanic player in a Rovers side since Alan Shearer IMO.

Words can’t describe what Sammie did for us this season, and today he was his usual superb self, both goals superb, the second had a touch of the Vardys about it, celebrating before it was in. 

Pickering, Tronstadt and McFadz I also thought were excellent today.

Brittain and Gallagher weak links on our right hand side but not worth going into that when we’re on such a high. 

Delighted that ‘big club’ have dropped

The optimism in me says this close run debacle will serve as a platform/catalyst to better things, the realism tells me we are in a one way lift going downwards.
