Forever Blue Posted June 26, 2024 Author Posted June 26, 2024 Derby at home first game of the season on Friday night Quote
Mattyblue Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Straight in with a fixture move, get used to it folks. 1 Quote
tomphil Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Bloody hell Bumley and the other lot away early and close together. Away followings will be dire after that this season when no one is trying to get attendance to qualify for a Turd ticket. Quote
tomphil Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Cardiff AND Swansea away on Saturdays that makes a change ! Quote

Upside Down Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 How long until the Dingle games get moved from Saturday? 1 Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Rovers making a massive song and dance about the fixture list release. Surely absolutely nobody is looking forward to the new season, right? We limped over the line last year. We DESPERATELY need reinforcements. I'm dreading another season with this squad. 1 Quote
superniko Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Swag will be happy with that Opener and Boxing Day. Derby and Sunderland will bring big followings, both should be 20k+ with Sunderland probably getting the whole Darwen End that could push further. Quote
superniko Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Interesting looking at that there really are not many London clubs left in the Championship. QPR and Millwall only. Whilst the likes of Brentford, Fulham and Palace are all flourishing in the top league. The north/south divide feels like it's widening further. Quote

Mattyblue Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Half of the PL is based in London and on the south coast. Quote

Probably why the quality is so fucking shit. 1 Quote
Rogerb Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Two promoted teams at home to start both with momentum. Norwich and Dingles away. Predicting nil points by end August. Quote

Look at the places that have growing, younger populations with a few more quid in their back pocket, and you're mainly talking about London, large university cities and the wealthier areas of the South of England. The opposite to most large towns & small cities in the North & Midlands, so it's inevitable that more investors, players and fans are going to available to teams in the South unfortunately. 2 Quote

Unfortunately feels like inevitable conclusion of the economic changes since the end of the 70's. Quote

I feel we now have a new draw specialist in charge so i expect that'll be the plan in a lot of games. 1 Quote

robbojohnno Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Always an exciting time when the fixtures are released regardless of off the field issues. Derby at home on a Friday night gives us a chance to put points on the board early albeit not many new signings expected in our eleven. Quote
chaddyrovers Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Good that local derbies are early in the season. Pleased to be home over the Christmas period Quote
