We are due to play Stockport in a friendly on August 2nd which is the last of the scheduled friendlies.

There's no way our lot will be able to reschedule something else in it's place so I imagine that will still go ahead, unless they cancel it i suppose

It will be our under 18's, if the friendly goes ahead.

The other year we were due to play Doncaster in a friendly and then were drawn against them in the first round of the cup, so they decided to cancel the friendly and just play them in the cup.

I wonder if a similar thing will occur this time around.

Happened again with Mansfield back in 2016.

Logic dictates cancelling the friendly, but then we would have two weeks between our last pre season game and the start of the season. 

If it gets cancelled it will be because Stockport want it to, there's no chance our lot will want to go to the trouble of finding someone else to play at this late notice.

There's a very solid chance they'll replace it with  BCD friendly at Brockhall against someone localish.
