A year ago I posted a thread on Championship turnover vs finishing position for the 2021/22 season, but it got locked because I said its time for Rovers fans to get real on expectation levels for our manager and owners. So no accompanying comments this time, this is turnover vs finishing position for 2022/23 and make of it what you will:

Yes, didn’t JDT do a fantastic job getting us to 7th. Shame that he was offered so little support by the owners that he asked to be released from his contract a few short weeks after the end of that season. 
 

And based on those figures, and contrary to the point you are trying to make, we actually underachieved this season.

The strongest correlation is usually argued to be wage bill v league position. 
 

Given what’s happening to our funding, we can only presume that managing the wage bill carefully is a crucial metric for SW. On that basis, our league position is moving only in one direction.

Tells us nothing we don't already know.

Parachute clubs have a massive advantage over everyone else but beyond that it's open and lower turnover clubs can and do finish above higher ones regularly.

It rests on how they are run and what funds they have are used.

It sure is.

When you look at Coventry and Luton's position in relation to turnover the whole argument that you need huge sums of money to succeed in the division are proven to be complete bollocks.
