To put my comment in context I only started watching the game just before the sending off so did not see the earlier incident. I would have booked Bassette for the first push. Had that happened of course he might not have committed the second foul and therefore no sending off.

Whilst Bassette shouldn't have held his face I don't think there's any real difference between being pushed in the face or the neck - both are a straight red for me.

Im not saying that Hull made the right decision by making the managerial change they did. But they have lost and not adequately replaced Philogene, Greaves, Delap, Carvalho, Seri, Morton, Zaroury etc. You take that sort of quality out of any team at this level and youll not fare as well and there was a lot of questions over how Rosenior couldnt get that squad into the top 6.

Yep, like I was saying the other day season ticket sales across the Championship next season will be interesting. Second tier crowds at their highest levels since the 1950s has lulled the greedy clubs into a false sense of security that it’s just like the Premier League down here, you can put half the games on TV and folk will turn out in record numbers regardless… guess what, they won’t, as this ain’t the PL.

Surely Rosenior deserved another season and yes they invested big last season. This season they loss a few quality players but they also reinvest the money on new players to £30m like Liam Millar, Charlie Hughes and Ryan Giles, etc.

I was surprised by their choice to replace Rosenior, wasn't you?

It may have been a poor choice, I dont know as Id never heard of their new manager.

But point being, you strip any side of the majority of its quality players and it will not do nearly as well. Considering the quality they had last season, Philogene, Carvalho and Greaves in particular, they potentially underachieved not making the play offs.

Their squad this season is nowhere near as good. Giles was there on loan too I think last season and Millar is not only a considerable downgrade on Philogene who stood out at this level, but he soon picked up a season ending injury.

I hadn't heard of the manager they appoint but I think sacking Rosenior was massive mistake.

Yes they lost key players but they also spent £30 million pounds. Millar was a good signing(one I wish we had made) and its a shame he got season ended injury.

If I was Hull owner I would remove the current Hull head coach and bring in a new head coach

i wonder if any Portsmouth fans will be moaning tonight that they should have checked earlier

The club must have known there was a chance that there could have been a power cut tonight, so why didn't they postpone it this morning?
