Awful game at the riverside.

We really have nothing to fear against then twats. Obviously their defensive record is decent like but only takes a moment of class.

like us they have nothing up front, though sadly, they are far better than us on the ball.we`ll have to keep our shape trally tight and try to nobble them on the break

Boro reminded me of Rovers. Got into great positions but a lack of composure let them down. Either played the wrong ball or miscontrolled at the crucial moment.

Leeds were better on the ball than us at Ewood.

Lots of rumours around Plymouth and the culture Rooney has instilled, lots of drinking, plans changing around the managers social life, players not bothering training.

Fans are almost unanimously against him at this point

Can't say I have much sympathy - I had a gander on their forums and the usual toxic wastelands of social media when he was appointed. I was expecting largely negative reactions, but I'd say it was bafflingly 90% positive, get behind the Roon and the lads ffs energy. Anyone pointing out that it probably wasn't a good idea just getting shot down by the positivity patrol. I appreciate wanting to be optimistic but there was no reason to assume Rooney would work out there, and when stupid decisions like that are made the fans need to hold the board accountable, not bury their heads in the sand.

apart from Leeds none of the others teams in the top 8 won yesterday, just a reminder that anyone can beat anyone at this level

Obviously they can, its a game of football.

But equally, Leeds and Burnley have more chance of beating us than we do of them. They are better teams than us, objectively, look at the league table.

Doesnt mean they definitely will. But understandable why people fear they may well.

I know LOTS of Argyle fans, majority love Shrek, only a few think it will end badly.

Yet we have beaten Leeds twice in the league game and got a draw against Burnley

Leeds and Burnley aren't has good as you think. I watched Burnley last night and I didn't think they were anything surprised, clearly you think they are.

I wonder if they were back Rooney with some signings in January?

If they were thinking of getting rid would they have bought Mike Phelan as Rooney's number 2?

They are better than us by a fair margin as the table proves. One off games, anything can happen and that includes the two games upcoming, we might win. But they have a bigger chance than us.

End of year report

Rovers are +13pts and +17 goal difference against the corresponding fixtures from last season.

An amazing turnaround

Strangely I just got a Sky News breaking news notification about this - don’t remember one last time Plymouth sacked a manager

It was a strange appointment in the first place.

Why? Rooney got the job cos the Plymouth's director of football Neil Dewship was his youth coach during his time at Everton

That’s exactly why it’s strange!!

You don’t employ someone with a failed track record to be your manager cos you were in charge of them when they were a teenager 25 years ago.

Plymouth deserve to pay the price for appointing him. It was obvious to most that it was a crazy appointment and one that could cost them their league status, yet on they pushed. Of course the whole media circus and publicity that comes with it was too much for them to turn away.
