If they beat Leeds on Monday then Bristol City can't be caught by Millwall, Rovers or Boro, so could well rest players against Preston.

If they draw or lose against Leeds, then yes, they still have to finish the job.

Leeds will bury them - they want the title.

PNE fans not happy. Fans very angry. The Couple of PNE fans who are friends reckon they will go down on Saturday. The team looks done and Heckingbottom doesn't know what to do but his plan A isn't working

Hull just missed out on the playoffs last season and most of their best players in the following summer.

Should have kept Liam Rosenier instead of sacking him.

I heard on Radio Lancashire on the way home that Nobbers haven't won away from home on a Saturday all season.

Be afraid.....

Maybe, but they haven't yet. Not that I think it matters much - Preston are absolutely awful and in a catastrophic tailspin. Even if Bristol have nothing to play for on the final day and rest players, there's every chance Preston would lose. They're that bad at the moment. Of all the teams at the bottom, they should be the most worried. Hull can definitely get a result at Portsmouth. Luton just beat Coventry, so no reason to think they can't take something from WBA as well.

Preston will be praying that Bristol beat Leeds on Monday, and then field a reserve team against them. Otherwise they really could be staring down the barrel.

What do they expect? It’s not 1889 any more.

The Wrexham circus is gonna be unbearable next season in the Championship. Not begrudging their fans who suffered for a long time, but sky sports news coverage of their promotion just now is like they've just won the Champions League- they've got roving journalists everywhere and about 10 different cameras, they've finished second in League Once ffs. Fair play to them, 3 consecutive promotions is great but the level of coverage is insane. They'll probably beat us first game of the season at their place won't they 😂

They've just achieved 3 promotions in a row, its unheard of, so its obviously gonna get a lot of coverage.

We won't be playing them next season anyway.

They just need to bring Mowbray in now to dampen the owner’s motivation to take the Championship by storm and take them on a journey !

It'll be interesting to see what Wrexham's level of expenditure is next season. It isn't too difficult to use financial muscle to bulldoze through the lower leagues, but the Championship is a different playing field financially - particularly with the parachute payment clubs to contend with. It's also a pretty big step up in terms of quality - more so when you're coming from a position of being in the lower leagues, rather than having yo-yo'd between the Championship and L1.

If they spend sensibly they should be able to achieve a mid-table position - Portsmouth and Oxford have done alright, after all - but to get beyond that point will likely take time, and a careful eye on FFP limits.

Idk fair play to them. They have a set of owners that genuinely took it upon themselves to "respect the legacy". Ring any bells? A model for ownership/team/fans working as one. Think they'll spend and be big contenders to go up again.

They really are the best example to respond to the people who say "who would ever buy us and waste all their money?"

American billionaires who knew nothing about football bought into a team in the 5th tier of English football and propelled them up the leagues.

Why wouldn't anyone want a crack at reversing the fortunes at one of England's oldest and 10th most successful football club?

I saw the third part of the documentary about Wrexham last week and their ownership runs much deeper than the football. Their work in the community is another big factor in the story.

For example a Wrexham fan was approaching his 100th birthday and one of the two owners (Rob I think) turned up at the guys house to wish him happy birthday. He stayed for a natter and a brew. He was then introduced to the fans before the next game and they have him a 100 second applause.

There were other plans they had like redeveloping areas of the town.

I vaguely recall our lot promising something similar with regard to the community.

Just another empty promise.

They most certainly are not billionaires. They have an estimated combined net worth of 300 million

Providing Leeds beat Bristol City on Monday. It looks like there will be 20 permutations which get Rovers into the Playoffs:

4 of these would require a better GD than Bristol City (4 goal swing needed)

Amazingly, there is around 19% chance of it happening or around 4/1 in betting money.

Most likely successful Rovers permutation is: Rovers Win...Bristol City Win...Coventry Lose...Millwall Lose, which would also be a stinker for PNE so that's nice 🙂

If Bristol City draw with Leeds this drops to 15% chance, and if they beat Leeds it drops to 13%
