That would be a massive come down for both, Coventry replacing a good manager with a terrible one and Lampard having to work in the Championship despite chaddy calling for him to get the England job.

I would have gone the other way round. The foul and then chat deserved a yellow but you can’t condone the two handed push to a player’s neck these days however much he had been wound up.

He's a lucky horrible git when you consider this happened moments earlier between the same players and he didn't even get a card.

His conduct on two occasions was a disgrace (particularly holding his face when he was pushed around the neck area) but then to wink at a team mate when the Sheffield player was sent off says a lot about him. I would genuinely be embarrassed if he played for us.
