Leeds have been frighteningly dominant. 17 shots to 0. If they score once more then if Bristol City draw against Preston and we win by any scoreline against Sheff Utd, we'd go above Bristol.

Finally Leeds get a second, they should be outta sight. Couple more do nicely.

We just need one more to bring goal difference level, that would mean any win over sheffield united and a bristol draw would be enough to put us above them.

Anyone know that if the GD is equal, what the next thing is that’s looked at? Goals scored? Games won?

It won't mattter, theres no scenario now where we can be level on points and goal difference, unless bristol score before end of the game.

That literally could't have gone any better for us.

Yep, not just a defeat but an absolute hammering. After also getting beaten 3-1 by Luton in their last match, it's got to be a severe dent in confidence for Bristol. Granted Preston are also shit and will be low on confidence, but increases the chances of a draw when they play each other at least. From a GD perspective all we needed was 3-0, the extra goal doesn't really mean anything other than further damaging Bristol's confidence going into the final day.

Yup.  In theory Millwall shouldn't get more than a point at the Dingles.  PNE need something to make sure they stay up.  Coventry and Boro both have something to play for.  You'd assume  Sheff U will rest a few players.

This is Rovers though and we never turn up when there is any pressure to win.

I appreciate I have the benefit of being from the south west but there are two teams in Bristol…

Anyway. Fantastic result - their confidence will be rock bottom after that too. Roll on Saturday.

I just can't be bothered typing out Bristol City every time tbh, and assume people would know I don't mean Bristol Rovers 😅

That was never a contest. Bristol in damage limitation mode from the start.

They are dogshite away from home. Will be heavy favourites against Preston. If we manage to win against a Blades side resting before the play-offs, then I think we'll make it though. It's a shame that a draw isn't enough, but might also be a blessing in disguise as we won't play it safe and have to go for the win.
