I've Request A Bet on Big Mak being top scorer in the league. What a beast 🤣

Changed my mind, Yuki is even better!

Chaddy, I'm more interested what you're calculating with your calculator. 🤓

Possible council taxes rises coming and working out what it might be and how it would affect me and my missus

So, out of our four incoming forwards, Mak made a good case today for 1st team minutes? Or, he starts at U21’s?

I think you're getting Gueye and Mafoumbi mixed up. Gueye is definitely for the first team and looked really good tonight, so did Ohashi

Assuming this is in relation to the possible change to base it on house value. Think I read that it was proposed to be 0.5% of the property value.

Pears, Carter, Hyam and Pickering - Solid, not tested.

Trav, Sonny Hedges, Dolan and JRC - Solid 7/10

Gueye - Miissed a couple of chances and was unlucky with a couple of smart saves from the keeper but I liked his performance. Very strong with his back to goal, linked play well and most importantly, was in a position to miss chances…positions the previous incumbent was never in, to actually miss them.

Yuki - Like him… Industrious, looks fairly quick but absolutely put himself about. He’s not lightweight at all. Neatly set a couple up and had a one blocked that was going in.

Brittain my MOM - I like the combination of him and JRC on the right and how when he bombs on, JRC tucks in.

Negatives - Siggy is crap. Really short of some pace in the wide areas - more evident than ever today.

Cheers Paul. Wonder if anyone is going to show any interest in Siggy?

He’d be gone for me mate. Has zero impact on the game…was the same in between injuries last season.

JRC on the right, Dolan on the middle and Hedges on the left looked decent. Switches from a 4231 to a 343 when we attack. Brittain and Hedges are free to bomb on. Sonny and Trav sit in…

                      Pears

     Carter.     Hyam.   Pickering

Brittain    Sonny    Travis.     Hedges

          JRC.                 Dolan

                   Gueye

Get some pace into those wide areas and this  team will be a different animal. A right footer on the right and a left footer on the left with a big lad in the middle made me feel all warm and fuzzy though…like the good old days!

Not one player in that team with even a bit of creative vision

I think JRC, Brittain and Hedges have some but granted, we need more. I’d focus on that Dolan position in the 343…Siriki Dembele, Brannigan or Ayari would do a better job than Ty there.

What about Ohashi? Bucko? Markanday?

It wasn't vintage but I saw enough to consider that Gueye & Ohashi will not look out of place.

Gueye is a unit, and plays like it. Held the ball up well, brought others into play, could turn his man & shows good drive to get into the box. Maybe should've done better with a couple of shots, but on another day would likely have scored 2 or 3.

Ohashi a completely different type of player, but no less effective. Has a good physique, looks reasonably strong, loves to press, looks alert & lively to turning his man. Had less clear cut chances than Gueye, the shots he did have were blocked at source.

Nothing much else to report really. Defence was solid, & Brittain got forward well to support JRC. Pears only had one save to make (and did so well). JRC looked lively, Hedges too. Travis was his usual busy, pesky self w/o doing anything spectacular, nice to see him back though. Dolan missed a sitter and failed to get a shot away a couple of times, but put the penalty away nicely.

Tronstad pulled up right at the end, wincing, but hopefully not serious.

All in all, a comfortable win. 3-0 wouldn't have flattered us. Interesting that they had Dwight Gayle as one of their 4 trialists, didn't get much of a look-in though.

See above re Ohashi, I thought he looked decent.

Bucko & Markanday didn't get on, JE only made the 2 subs at HT (Ohashi & Siggy for Gueye & Hedges).

I’d like to see Gueye & Ohashi play together based on what I saw tonight - think they would complement each other…

Sigurdsson is a strange one.

He's obviously very talented and the incredibly composed finishes he pulled out at the start of last year made me think we'd signed an absolute gem.

That said his attitude, lack of athleticism and injury proneness means that we're probably better getting rid.

I suspect he'd be better centrally. He has no pace to play out wide but is a neat finisher.

I've been hugely disappointed by him though, like most have.
