That hedges run highlights the need for a winger. He’s in 1 v 1 20 yards out running at pace and rather than having a go at the defenders plays it wide to Pickering for a cross that’s deflected. Was the time to be selfish and creat the chance not go wider allowing the defense to recover

Hi,

I am a new Blackburn Rovers fan having only followed the club since we signed Sam Gallagher.  

 

Can any kind soul please explain what the new striker is doing when the ball lands near his head or when he has his back to a defender or when he stands in the box when a cross is made.  Why isn't he playing out in the wing?

Gonna go out on a limb and say Big Mak is gonna be a cult hero. Impressive first 20 of his career. Opening night fluffing your lines is forgiven when you’re otherwise as dynamic as he is.
