Well, what can I say? I never saw that coming..

Subs won the game , not often we have said that in recent seasons...

Good performance overall, need a new keeper ASAP!

Don't dispute we need a new keeper - but not certain what he did wrong tonight

That was a good performance all round, poor marking to concede but great comeback, new signings look very promising and bringing Sammie on to finish it off !!!!

If we don't lose him and make a couple more decent signings we might do well.

A team just promoted though so better not get carried away.

I don't think we make any more signings if Szmodics stays.

Derby are a shite side so all exuberance needs to be tempted a bit. Thought the first 30 was good, high effort and intensity but the dropped off for the next 30. We’re lucky to be 1-1 as derby could have had a direct one from the corner. In the end a convincing win, but around the 70th minute couldn’t help but feel the game was only going one way. Brilliant by the subs to turn the match in its head. Could verbally have had a goal for all 4 new signings, but 3/4 isn’t too bad. We will need to be better against the better sides as it seemed the lads were a bit short on fitness. Travis was fantastic, Carter was great but never feel safe with Pears between the sticks.

Fantastic night, best game at Ewood for ages. Signings look great, hopefully a few more to come.

Their corner taker was deadly, they will score a lot of set pieces this season.

Also a shout out to the DJ with some absolute bangers to set the mood.

Go on, Yuki! I think we've found a player there. What a finish from him, love the celebration too.

Excellent first outing from Gueye. He has the hold up play, the first touch and the ability to make runs, his finishing needs working on, but he looks like he is going to be a problem for the opposition.

How good was it to see passes played into a striker and the ball sticking with a neat first touch? He already looks like an upgrade on the striker that has just left.

Travis, very impressive. That was a bit like the initial Travis we saw before he started to play crab football under Mowbray. He has a role to play in this team. Fair play to Carter for a heck of a run and cross for the second goal too.

We definitely need a new keeper though, he just doesn't inspire confidence. If we had somebody quick out on the left instead of Hedges tonight we could have caused havoc down that side. That needs addressing as we are slow out wide on both sides with Hedges and JRC out there.

I would also look to bring in somebody better than Brittain, I don't think he's good enough, but they probably have other priority areas to strengthen.

Looked decent attacking wise in patches, but we still looked nervy when Derby came forward and they aren't all that. Looking forward to Norwich, we've done alright there in recent years.

Pears was awful in reality, decent fish save at the near post fro the corner, but still not fantastic. Really think his goalkeeping in general is piss poor.

he can`t defend, the derby winger gave him a bit of a chasing, but he  is very good going forwards

Brilliant win and great to win the first game of the season.

Dolan finish was class and he looks very good in the 10 role. Great play by Carter for the second goal and and set it perfectly for Weimann to nod up. Third goal good play by Brittain and Ohashi and Szmodics movement and finish was class and typical finish. Ohashi chip finish was sublime.

We started the first half excellent but has the half went on we tired and Derby came on strong. Second half we have 2 chances and Gueye should have scored the second one but didn't. Derby press and got an equaliser from the set pieces. That was probably what we need as re-ignited the players and fans. Rovers need to defend set pieces much better and it needs we working on.

I thought Eustace got his decisions right and I think he can built surprise here good. He needs more signings and I will touch on that in the transfer thread.

on new signings, Gueye's hold up play, turn of pace and movement is very good and his finishing needs working on but I think we have a good player here and I think he isn't match sharp yet. Ohashi is a very different player, his work rate and pressing is good but his finish tonight was class and sublime. Weimann gives us that experience and knowledge from wide areas and he was in the right place at the right time.

Travis was my man of the match but Dolan and Carter was very close also.

Szmodics was Szmodics and he played with the same effort, desire and his attitude can't be question. We need a decision whether he is going or we said we are keeping him now for the season.

Very good night for Rovers and the fans. Fans were excellent tonight, very good atmosphere. P.S. its was very good to see Pears and Benson reaction when a disabled fan was hit with a ball from Benson, Pears was very quick to asked the fan was he ok and jumped over the barrier to check on him and hug him. Good move by him, Benson apologised to the fan and his dad about it. Good from both.

Really think he is going to be awesome, actually has some passion 👌

If he scores against the six fingers, will adopt him.

If he scores against them he can have the freedom of Blackburn and Lancashire for life 🔵

Enjoyed that, safe to say Eustace got his subs spot on, have 3 subs ever scored before?

His job  should be safe for a good while after winning at home,it meant so much to so many.

Yuki looks really promising, some nice play in the build up for Szmods goal, and what a finish, topped only by Carter's sublime assist for the wiley Weimann.

That's because you hadn't already made your mind up before we kicked off.
