From the evidence of preseason and Stockport away on Friday, I predict this as the line up…

                         Pears

Brittain.    Carter.     Hyam.     Pickering

                  Travis.      Sonny

      JRC.           Dolan.        Hedges

                         Gueye

Subs - Hilton, Duru, O’riorden, Batth, Batty, Buckley, Siggy, Markanday, Ohashi

Vale on the bench for Duru or Batty and you've probably nailed that.

Agree with this one, Actually feel that starting eleven looks pretty solid. Only a matter of time before the goalie throws one in and JRC/ Hedges pick up injuries though. New goalkeeper and depth in wide areas required over the next couple of weeks.

My team would be

                   Pears

Brittain Carter Hyam Pickering

             Travis Tronstad

     JRC        Dolan       Hedges

                   Geuye

Our leading returnees in assists are Brittain with 7, Hedges with 5. These guys are key for us. JR-C is solid, & a hard worker. I believe Hyam & Siggy rebound, after mostly downers last season. Travis will want to prove his worth- if nothing else, to leave Rovers on a permanent move.

Tronstad as Captain?

I’m still thinking 2-1, but I’ve changed my goal-scorers, Gueye & Siggy.

I think we will see:

              Pears

Brittain  Carter Hyam Pickering

          Tronstad     JRC

Hedges       Siggy             Dolan

                    Geuye

Pears and the back 4 pick themselves at this point.  Think Trav and Szmodics are both left out as we try and get their transfers over the line.

At the end of the day, barring a striker swap in Gally for Big Mak/Ohashi and a few mid 30's lads who won't be ready to play for a few weeks (Eustace's words) we still have pretty much the same squad that finished 19th last season.

I will be amazed if we win on Friday.

Eustace will never have a better chance than to get off the mark at Ewood with his first league win.

Derby have problems - no first choice goalie, injuries and suspensions.

Opening season bets are on - Rovers to win 11/8 and by 3 goals to 1 at 16/1.

Crisis, what crisis!?

I'll be watching Palace a lot and a bit of Soton too.

Us? Probably, although I don't fucking want to. Still ... It will be through a "source" ........

Sorry to hear of the passing of the lad from WATR, another one those cunts have seen off. I expect the same. Fuck them all.

I really wish we had brought in some wingers by now, even with a couple of new forwards I just dont see us creating much for them.

Im going for a 0-0, this being a familiar scoreline across our home games this season unless we get some power/pace down the flanks or a Wharton replacement who can thread it through the middle.

Hyam captain for me.

I am looking forward to the start of the season and watching my first game of the season at Ewood Park.

I think we will win 3-1 with Gueye scoring.

There will be a moment of applause at 25 min mark for Kimbo and Andy's Man Club UK. Kimbo was 25 and died recently. His older brother is Luke Kimberley, formerly of Rovers Chat.

As for how we all feel about this uninspiring season, I am sinking my time into FM to cope. You all would love my version of Rovers.

Is that a case of you expecting Eustace to appoint Hyam.

He is a decent Championship defender on his day, and probably got a bit too much stick at times. But he certainly is not a leader.

Has to be Travis.

Why do you want a guy who only has a year left on his contract (and been no talk of him signing another one) to be captain?

Hyam was good first season and poor last ,but his attitude was terrible last season ,throwing his hands in the air when the riverside gave a bit of grief and acting like a crybaby at that fans meeting Waggott called.

Iv always felt he hasn't wanted to be here, Coventry needed the money at the time only reason he is here

No way should he be captain this season.
