Carabao Cup 24-25

Trying not to jump the gun but I thought it was easier to start a thread on the Carabao Cup for the coming season with the news that we have already sold our allocation for the First Round match at Stockport on Tuesday 13th. Hopefully another cup run beckons similar to the last two seasons particularly last season when we scored 17 goals in three games prior to losing 2-0 at Chelsea.

Last time I went to Stockport was under Souness I think, but my overriding memory was when we scored a bunch of young kids (around 10yrs old maybe) ran on the pitch. They were immediately apprehended by the stewards and marched towards the gates. At which point all the dads of the said kids also jump over the barriers to be chucked out with the kids!

Imagine explaining that one to the Mrs!

If you read the article it tells you that you have to buy them direct from Stockport for which a link is provided.

Strong team to start, get into a commanding position, then use subs to give game time to players that need it.

The Riverside will definitely be shut, but let’s hope he bothers with a few cleaners and stewards so the Blackburn End can open.

Nice bit of local interest to spice it up a bit although i'd have preferred to be away.

Tough game, they'll bring a few so i hope it's priced correctly then we get a home turnout as well, should be a 10k gate which isn't to be sniffed at.

And for the powers that be this is a local game so let people actually turn up and pay, park your digital only crap in the garage.
