Think you're getting mixed up. It was Tronstad who asked for the ball, lost control and apologised after Sergeant shot wide.

Tronstad bailed Pears out from his cock up passing straight to the Norwich player.

But you're forgetting about the speed of the ball played into tronstad, pears absolutely fired it at him with a player on his shoulder

We’d instantly become a better side if we switched JRC and Brittain round. JRC not quick enough for the wing and drifts inside, Brittain woefully bad defensively.

I didn't see the game today but I really don't like Brittain. I think his attitude is shocking and he doesn't seem to think things like getting tight to his man and preventing them from crossing are part of his defensive remit.

In an ideal world I'd change both full backs in a heartbeat. Neither are anywhere near good enough.

Aynsley Pears seems absolutely determined to lose us football matches. Cannot stand that man and how many points he costs us.

Explain how Pears isn't in the wrong here.

obviously we have hindsight... but looking at that... knocking out right for brittain to run onto and looks the more obvious option, but brittain looks half a asleep as usual when it should have been him calling for the ball. although id have equally have been fine with him just lumping it up the pitch

He looks like the son of a former player that's been bought as a favour by his father's mate and found himself thrust into the #1 spot because the team he signed for spends no money on players and their Academy hasn't bailed them out at that position for once.

Oh.

Well, whatever it looks like, he costs us too many points and he can’t be trusted to start. It’s not like that hasn’t been the case for a long while as well. Very annoying.

He will cost us far more points than he saves us and needs to go.

There was only Tronstad under any kind of pressure. Before Pears put his foot to the ball their player was running in on Tronstad. Everyone watching read it except for Pears.

The second one (screen grab 2) was worse when he passed it straight to one of theirs right next to the goal.

Not on him, but I thought he could have done better for their first goal. He just sort of went down to his knees with one arm limply out.

His other mistakes aren't in the highlights. The other defenders didn't cover themselves in glory either.

Watch the full highlights and you'll see I'm right. From behind the goal, Tronstad calls for the ball, normally he would control it and play it back to Pears as in 20 times in a game, but he miscontrolled it. Pears then actually gets his angles right and Sergeant shoots wide.

Tronstad then apologised for his mistake.

He miscontrolled it because he shot it at him. And in any case even if he did call for it, it was up to Pears to decide whether it was risky or not considering he was the only available man under any kind of pressure. He got it wrong.

I'd agree with that. Very disappointing to see a decent performance let down by individual errors.

Norwich's manager must be sniffing glue if he thought their performance deserved 3 points.
