superniko Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 Siggy is pretty poor defensively but clearly has that quality in front of goal. Should potentially be himself and Ohashi behind Gueye? 2 good creative players playing off the big man. Quote

Thats one of the strangest things I’ve found about this board. I call everyone pal as a term of affection (being a wigginer) I called someone pal when I first joined the site and I was shocked how many people found it an aggressive term 😂 And it’s a barm 🤣 Edited August 24, 2024 by Oldgregg86 Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 I've never seen a team throw their GK up for a corner 3 games into the season. Reckon Oxford were targeting points today? Seems like it. Quote
ItsRoverZ Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 7 points out of 9 with large parts of these games we've looked poor can't be looked down on. We definitely need to improve though by a mile. Quote
waynerovers Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 Can't beat coming from behind to win 2-1. 3rd after three games. Let's go! Quote
CambridgeRover Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 A win is a win Good performances: Tronstad, Ohashi, Carter Bad performances: Traivs, JRC(thanks for the goal though), Dolan 2 Quote
Eddie Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 Ugly win. Possibly slightly undeserved, although we were the better side in the second half. Oxford will feel hard done by and they could have easily been 2 or 3 clear at halftime. All that being said, an important win. Especially ahead of some tougher fixtures. Quote

Proper pauper stuff. Quote
Mashed Potatoes Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 Great start to the season continues. Eustace has instilled a resilience in to the team which means we chisel out the points. 4 Quote

Backroom DE. Posted August 24, 2024 Backroom Posted August 24, 2024 Rare to see us come from behind to win, so am happy with that. Wasn't a great performance but we ground out the win anyway, and that's all that matters in the end. 4 Quote

We definitely need to improve though by a mile. That's the Championship for many of the teams in it. There's very few dominant teams that boss games from whistle to whistle. We've scrapped to 7 points - we didn't beat any of the promoted sides last year and we've already beaten two of them. Yes, we need significant reinforcements, but it's a credible performance today. 1 Quote
