Blackpool have sacked Neil Critchley this morning after 3 games. 

I was talking to my friend who is Diehard Blackpool supporter and STH about whether they should sack him or not yesterday. 

He mentioned possible replacement like Gary Bowyer, Scott Lindsey, Peter Wild. 

He wants to see them play attacking football

Are they just planning on repeatedly appointing the same managers? Ian Holloway perhaps next?

Who doesn’t want ‘attacking football’, but if your players won’t win enough games playing that way then you have to find another.

One of his main criticism of Critchley is his tactics, not changing formations and his poor signings

Not ended up too well for Critchley or Ainsworth who were repeatedly promoted on here as people we should be turning to as future Rovers managers.

Critchley did very well in his first spell there but second spell a very different manager. maybe the QPR spell had led to his change of tactics and not having a plan B

How cringey was the whole thing? Sky frothing over Beckham being there, panning to the owners and him every 5 mins? 🤮

Football wise, after a shaky start and falling behind Brum strolled past them, barring an injury crisis they'll piss the league (as they should given what they've spent).

European leagues are awash with Japanese talent at the moment there's some fantastic players, Belgium especially is experiencing a bit of a takeover. Bodes well for their national team too although How's Yuki never been involved? Late bloomer I guess.

Bolton's defending at weekend was comical. Stanley on the other hand barely registered a shot on target. They seem to have signed national league players are are heading there themselves. Their clown of an owner will be due a pissed up twitter meltdown

it was embarassing and the whole cheat brady stuff was ultimate cringe and i never thought the trailor swift show could be topped .

But having said that what a whole world of difference are the two attitudes of both owners compared to our no show cowards .

It seems like Beckham and Neville cleared off well before the end. Cringey is the word I would use too - Sky were orgasmic. On the football side I haven't seen a team as big as Wrexham for a while. It looks like Parkinson wants to kick his way out of League One.

I'd not heard of him before but came across the fact that Bolton's Portuguese defender, Ricardo Santos, has been selected for four teams of the seasons in a row, once in League 2 and rest in League 1. He is 29 years old, which makes me wonder why another club, possibly, in the Champ hasn't signed him. Though this season doesn't look to have started too well.

Huddersfield scored a couple of goals against Bolton last week through Bolton over playing in their own penalty area. On Saturday they did this:

Why on earth do lower league managers expect lower league players to play out from the back when they simply aren't up to it. Every week I see goals being conceded and chances being offered up in this way by Pep wannabes.

Assume they have seen Russell Martin (MK Dons to Swansea to Southampton) and Kompany (Dingles to Bayern) fail upwards in recent years and fancy the same happening to them.

In short, looking after themselves first and foremost, rather than the team they are currently managing.  Maybe this is justified given how quickly clubs dispense with managers who are not doing well?

What I do question though is why those who employ these managers seem happy with this situation.  There is no real short term benefit to these clubs, especially in League 1 & 2, and it seems to result in the manager being poached by a club higher up the ladder.  

Maybe the compensation fees are enough of a benefit?  Both in terms of clubs higher up the ladder paying compensation fee to bring the manager to them, and also in terms of transfer fees received for players who are more acclimatized to this style of football.

It does make you wonder if a truly ambitious lower league club (and presumably one with an owner able to financially sustain the club) should be as "anti football" as possible in order to discourage clubs in higher divisions from taking players & managers off them, and as such, keep a team together to grow and develop.

Are those 2 strikers comprised of Jordan Rhodes & a big "Gestedesc" lump of a target man?
