Eustace has to stick to his principles - if you come in and play well you start next game. Beck looks 10x the player that Pickering is. What a signing 100%. Quote

Without the ref on their side we'd have won that easily. He was the only thing that stopped them from completely bottling it. 7 Quote

Moptop1 Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 Any CB’s out of contract? We need cover there. 1 Quote
booth Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 Scott Parker thought they looked a real fret. Disappointed not to have taken all three points. They did chalk a goal off Scott, you're lucky to have 1! 3 Quote
Popular Post Groundhog Posted August 31, 2024 Popular Post Posted August 31, 2024 Haha Dingles complaining we parked the bus - get over yourselves, they've turned into a right smug bench, entitled or what. Also seen comments the ref let us get away with certain antics, my oh my how deluded. We needed that goal, calmed our nerves, started doing the basics better after that. Parker complaining players had no chance to train: may I present Owen Beck... 11 Quote
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 (edited) Apart from the Rovers fans I do believe I heard various Pins drop inside the tiny Turf! Ref was card happy, ridiculous. Edited August 31, 2024 by SIMON GARNERS 194 Quote

Weimann, instant Rovers legend. Arrange the statue. That goal will be replayed over the years along with the locals crying behind the goal. A shame for Dolan. A well taken goal disallowed. Why didn't we strengthen in central defence? We did, signed Batth remember? Quote

AspRover Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 If the new left back is as good as he looked today honestly could Pickering be a left footed CB? I've always thought he might be better centrally where his lack of pace wont be as exposed 1 Quote

RevidgeBlue Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 Could do with an extra striker far more than another CB imo but in an ideal world need both. Wonder if there's any decent free agents floating about? Quote
Bbrovers2288 Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 Brilliant result and continued start to the season, credit to eustace, don’t think anyone can say that they would still want jdt now beck- brilliant, best debut I have seen in along time, without wanting to be critical to any player today , that’s how to stop crosses brittain knew weimann was an astute signing, great player to have , more than capable of scoring those yes we might have won with better officials but I am delighted with the point in the end as we were hanging on a bit being down to 10 Dare I say it, it’s quite good being a rovers supporter just now…… 3 Quote

DanielMB Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 As bad as the ref was on another day we would have had a penalty against us towards the end. 6 Quote

He's a squad player - nothing wrong with that, he provides energy, but he's far too slow and wasteful with the ball. Agreed. He’s definitely not worth the kind of money that he reckons he is. Did anyone come in for him this summer? A year left on the deal and nobody came in? He needs to knuckle down and deliver this season. 1 Quote

Erased Citizen Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 2 minutes ago, booth said: A lot of talk about the goal being disallowed. "The game happens so quickly, it's a mistake but, but..." Gueye is sent off. "Passions are running high but he knows what the rules are..." So for the officials are allowed to make mistakes due to the game happening so quickly, but for the players it's different. Even though their adrenaline will be amped up 100x more. I think to an extent referees should be given some leniency for mistakes because yeah refereeing can be hard. But that doesn't mean they are exempt from criticism when they have as poor a game as today's ref did. He was abysmal But since the rule is pretty cut and dry, do the gesture = yellow card, Gueye loses a bit of sympathy for me. Even if the rule is a silly one 9 Quote
