They deserved that, along with a massive bollocking. What a set of absolute shithouses.

It’s the lack of effort that I can’t bear. Trotting round like they’d already won the game.

Players like Vale aren’t good enough for L2. Get rid.

When you get Pears and McFadzean playing out from the back, it's usually slow and predictable. We're so dependant on Carter who can carry the ball forward at least. Would consider signing a quicker centre back to this window. A PL loan perhaps.

Shit showing tonight

Moment of madness by Eustace making all those changes

No doubt the head coach will be let down along with the recruitment team when we end up not going for eithers lists and are hurriedly begging for loans when the owners ain't giving the go ahead  and club goes silent again until waggott can come up with a decent lie

A shit ending to the window and a hammering by Burnley will make the decent start a distant memory going into the international break

Well that's the wheels fallen off for this season already.

At least we will be signing 4 to 5 quality players this week. #sarcasm

Shocked at the reaction. We are a poor side. You all knew that. Did you really think the 'form' would continue, none of you did. However its like you all expected it too. We are a poor side, get used to it. We will be embarrassed on Saturday. I'm shocked at the optimism, pre match for such a poor team.

Not sure why a fuss about the 5 subs.

Thats how bad we were.

If it was possible we should have made 11 subs.

It is just a measure of our qualty with this lot in charge. Beating 2 bum promoted sides and an U16 schoolboy side won't change the truth.

I don't place any blame on Eustace for the substitutions. We were doing the square root of fuck all before the subs anyway and it was up to the players who came on the pitch to perform.

I do blame him that in general they weren't up for it. That was a real Mowbray like Cup performance.

All momentum killed stone dead. We'll get absolutely battered on Sunday now.

Respectfully disagree. Five subs at the same time and a shape change is asking for trouble, there’s a reason you don’t see it that often. Proper amateur-hour nonsense from the manager, with an opportunity to continue the momentum, get minutes into legs and go onward to Saturday.

Two things - he’ll blame the subs on needing to change shape because Pickering was injured, which is bollocks because the only likely replacement for him back left was Hedges, who played wide right.

Second - if that was a warmup or audition for a change of shape on Saturday, we could see a worse do than the last time we were at Turf Moor.

Radical suggestion: we deliberately throw this game so we don't have to play in this pointless cup with our threadbare squad for basically no prize money (£100k for the winner).

John…? Is that you?

We usually get to January when we are screaming for support to the strongest 11. It's resulted in the last two years in a some how blowing the play offs, followed by somehow staying up (well Sammie sorted that to be truthful!).

Now this season we aren't past August and are screaming for strengthening. There cannot be many clubs run this way in the professional game.

Buckley & JRC midfield pairing who struggle to compete with a lower league L1 side.

Vale is an awful forward and would be lucky to be first choice in a L2 side.

One of the oldest defenders in the football league and a bloke who is scared of his own shadow at CB.

Pickering one of the slowest fullbacks in the Championship.

And then there's Pears.

Why did it go so wrong?
