I've said it for a few weeks now. He needs to play for the under 21's for a few games where results don't matter as much. He is in danger of becoming the new Chris Brown unless something drastic happens.

I can’t see him improving that much Arbitro.

I'm actually wondering if this is some kind of identity scam, thing. Or a terrible mistake, like when that taxi driver turned up at the BBC and found himself being accidentally interviewed on live TV.

Surely he isn't an actual professional footballer? Surely.

I'm embarrassed by, and for, him.

He went back home after that 3 match suspension and his twin brother came back in his place. That’s my theory anyway.

We are stuck with him Den and it would be damage limitation to play him with the youngsters. Personally I'd be looking to shift him out in January.

Just my attempt at humour Arbitro. More than anything I’m baffled how any scout could see anything at all in the lad that made them think he could be effective at this level.

I’m not a scout but I thought I saw something the first few games, in fact not rewriting history he was clumsy and awkward but WAS effective in those games, seemingly at this point more fluke than anything but still…

Particularly when the reports say we paid anything between £1m and £2.5m for him.

Ward was crap but fucking leagues above this guy over the last 2 months.

Ward scored a few in the Premier League, he was crap but this chap is in a league of his own...

I saw John O Mara too

He needs a goal soon as it’s becoming almost a comedy sideshow at how poor he looks. That miss tonight was something else, was actually harder to do what he did than score.

I've defended Gueye based on not getting the right service and the team being out of form but he had it tonight, that cross is perfect from Brittain (who was excellent all night), it was a very worrying miss.

O Mara scored a few goals early on and went downhill to be a laughing stock. Gueye's decline is well under way.

Szmodics left for 15 mill, hoorah, hoorah,

Armstrong left for 20 mill hoorah, hoorah,

Venkys they don’t care one bit,

Spend no money or give a shit.

Now Makhtar Gueye is Rovers' number 9.

That was a Sunday morning send the big lad from the back forward type header, stuff you see watching Chorley's league.

Utter gash the lad has zero technique.

Was happy to give him time because he can cause defenders problems but there's not much point putting the ball anywhere near him.

I'll never be able to get that Ashely Ward lob toward an empty net out of my head, when the 0-0 against Utd sent us down. Although imagine if we had VAR back then, that penalty that should have been against Charlton...

Gueye has a way to go yet but I'm getting Kevin Davies vibes.

I have never forgotten that penalty incident at Charlton, or the comments made by Alan Hansen on match of the day about it.  “You will never see a clearer penalty in your life”.

A biased opinion or not, it’s got to be the worst decision, I have ever seen on a football pitch ever and I’ve seen some bad ones.

No wonder it was undisclosed. I would not want to be the person responsible for that fee, if it is at the level, quoted in this thread.

He could well be used to lift up our new bus, if we get a flat tyre, but his goal scoring ability, deflates me.

He'd be just fine in "videos"
