Chris Brown is a million times better than Gueye, he at least could control the ball and bring others in. His total lack of understanding of the game was shown again with the Leonard effort, any forward worth their salt is in that space for the ball being sent back across. Where is Gueye, hiding behind their CB toward the touch line. I'm sure he tries hard and is a nice lad but I wouldn't be unhappy if I never say him in a Rovers shirt again, it's like playing with 10 men.

All this extra coaching with Keith Downing doesn't appear to have any effect on him. We can see it, the other players must see it so Eustace should too. I know Eustace is short of striking options but something has to give here because right now Gueye isn't even worth a place on the bench.

It isn’t looking good, strikers generally need an early goal at their new club and unfortunately, it hasn’t happened for Gueye. The first few games looked promising but since Burnley, it has just gone downhill and now, off the cliff ! A real pity that he didn’t bag that one last night, it could have been the monkey off his back and seen confidence high and more goals to follow but rather than a relief valve goal, the burden is now almost intolerably heavy. It certainly feels like Chris Brown II but I think we have little option but to persevere and just hope, he scored goals at Oostende and although it didn’t work there either, Zaragoza must have seen something to sign him up. Just pray that somehow he gets one soon 🙏

I saw some clips on his Instagram of him doing separate work with some externally renowned striker coach. Doesn't look like he's made a jot of difference to his game either!

Externally renowned coach? What are we paying our coaches for.

From what I have seen, people take the piss out of Gueye, and he just laughs and accepts it. Someone needs to get through to him, that if he wants a career as a pro footballer he needs to change his attitude.

He is 26 and played almost 200 games. He has a career as a pro footballer.

And achieved very little, Depending on attitude he could play another 200, or 20.

Just pointing out he has a career as professional footballer.

Pedantic, but I’m sure you understand 😉😉

To be fair, I think we all witnessed a moment of Rovers infamy on Wednesday with Big Mak's header.

Like Tom Lawrence's shot against Burnley, or the already referred to Ashley Ward not-given penalty against Charlton.

In 10 years time I think people will still remember and talk about that miss.

And the Tevez handball, offside, not over the line goal

Must admit when he first arrived he didn't look like the player his former clubs fans were on about but now he certainly does.

Lets face it we are back to the Harold Goulan days and we aren't even in an embargo that's why Eustace needs to find a way to get the best from Cantwell and Yuki as the cheapo bargain bucket wage savings probably allowed us to get 2 decent players in.
