Popular Post Forever Blue Posted September 5, 2024 Popular Post Posted September 5, 2024 (edited) Seems to be an intelligent lad who’s acknowledged that things haven’t gone the way he’d hoped, but also takes some responsibility for that. A rare quality! Looking forward to seeing him play. He’ll be a phenomenal signing at that price if he can recapture his form of a few years ago. Edited September 5, 2024 by Forever Blue 11 Quote

Old Codger Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 (edited) It is certainly a promising prospect, having Cantwell in the side. Of course there is no smoke without fire and there are without doubt tales to be told about his decline since the halcyon days at Norwich, but those days and times are quite literally behind him now. However we have acquired a player with unquestionable capability, and in doing so given him an opportunity to re-ignite his career. If managed carefully and given the chance to impose himself in a positive way on our style, I am confident he will let the football do the talking and we will benefit as a result. Go TC! & COYB! Armchair supporter supremo Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Bright lad. A footballer that can actually string sentances together in public and think for himself 😯 Quote

Trinidad Rover Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Interesting interview. It is good to see him take some accountability for the way things have turned out. Proof will be in the pudding but if he is serious about letting his football talk, it could be a hell of a signing. His technical ability will be way way way better than most in the squad (Siggy aside). Imagine it will be Dolan who is at risk of losing his spot. Good chance for him to step up. Cantwell says he is a way off match fitness so don’t see him starting games in September. Exciting to have the options. 2 Quote

NI Rover Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 I watched TC play for Rangers. Tidy player, he will do well for us once he is fit, up and going. Also as a Rangers fan I was sorry to see him leaving but very happy to see him arriving at Blackburn. 2 Quote
rigger Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 Cantwells ability is not in doubt. The two major factors at the moment are fitness and attitude. If both of those are right he could be a great player for us. 2 Quote
roverblue Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 He looks well rusty at the moment, guess it could be a while before we see him starting unless injuries hit. 1 Quote

Looked sharper and fitter in the U21 game yesterday - but was playing in a one sided game against a bunch of kids so it's hard to really judge. Edited September 25, 2024 by TonyM Quote
