roverandout Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Awful performance even more awful ref 1 Quote
NeilInBristol Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Both were bad decisions - that's 2 reds against our local rivals now.. I wonder if the refs have been advised to be extra harsh. I don't think either were a red and its so frustrating we lose Beck for a game or two Quote

Summed up by our lad getting bitten by some gypsy in white shirt and getting a red. Lineman staring right at it 1 yard away The bite was after the stupid kick which deserved a red card. People need to be a bit more objective in this thread 5 Quote
cesus Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Has any foul NOT seen a card!?!? FFS 1 Quote

The Gull Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 We have been absolutely terrible, but this ref is clueless, Preston players conning him in to free kicks and yellows before that red card, which was probably right but he caused it the prick. Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Does this ref have a quota of cards to hand out? Fuck me. 1 Quote
booth Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 How the fuck did that living bollock not go off for clearly biting another player? 1 Quote

ItsRoverZ Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Couldn't give a fuck we kept our unbeaten run ..I couldn't care less it's a point away from home. That was absolutely fucking woeful from rovers, utter fucking gash a pathetic performance I'd be livid if I was one of the 6000 to travel. 1 3 Quote
RTM08 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 I fully expect both Preston and Burnley to finish above us this season. Even with 10 they looked far more threatening than us. 4 Quote
Forever Blue Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Not a great performance but still unbeaten. credit to PNE, they did to us what we did to Burnley. 2 Quote

He booked two of ours for nothing then gave a free kick for a dive ffs. 3 1 Quote
CambridgeRover Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Take a point but probably our worst 90 mins of the season so far. Very poor going forward and in possession. Crazy referee but both red cards were the right call. I hope that Preston players gets a long ban for that bite 4 Quote

People need to be a bit more objective in this thread Clearly - but the ref has had no control on the whole game, it wasn’t a free kick in the first place which wouldn’t have led to the whole incident. Which ended with a player getting bitten 1 yard in front of a linesman with Beck constantly saying he was bitten 2 Quote

yellowsubmarine Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 We dont deserve anything at all to be honest. Pears was exceptional today, our best Rovers player. Ohashi second. The rest are just not good enough. Against 10 men, we played like we are the team with 10 men. Players and manager need to look at themselves especially Eustace. He had a half time talk and a whole half to beat 10 men. And we almost lost the game if not for Pear's saves. 2 Quote
Backroom DE. Posted September 22, 2024 Backroom Posted September 22, 2024 Knew as soon as they went down to 10 that was our chances of winning down the drain. Can't remember the last time we took advantage of being an extra man up. Same old from the officials mind. Preston reverted to the dark arts and the ref was hoodwinked throughout the second half. With that said, almost all teams in the division will do this when they go a man down and the quality of official will be below average at best, so we need to find a way to win in these situations. Whilst Beck probably deserved a red for kicking out, Preston obviously should have been down to 9. Hopefully retrospective action taken. Don't think him going off in the game would have made a difference as we can't take advantage of being a man up anyway. Disappointing performance. Pears the only player who deserves credit. Still, despite our worst performance of the season, mostly against 10 men + referee, we didn't lose and got a point, so... forget about it and move on, I guess. Quote
