moerpho Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Horrible performance, but another point and still undefeated. Win at home draw away is the way to go. Pears my MotM (who could’ve thunk it) with Beck a close second untill the red card. Need to just forget this game and move forwards. Felt pretty sure we were going to lose even before the card, but here we are with one point. Onwards and upwards. 5 Quote

imy9 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Good point away from home. we are unbeaten and have kept two CS in the last two. performance was dire but we would lose games like this last year- take a point and move on. 6 Quote
Forever Blue Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Pears was excellent, full credit to the lad 5 Quote
booth Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Worst league performance so far. Osmajic - post-match ban? 9 Quote
alex l Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Before the game would have taken a point. More disappointing the lack of chances created especially when a man up. On the flip side, could see us losing that in the last couple of seasons. Getting a point when not playing well is a step in the right direction and it's back to back clean sheets. 1 Quote
AAK Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 (edited) Poor performance, really lacklustre, lacked quality, pretty shit. However we got a draw. I have the mark Hughes feeling with eustace. In that i mean. You'll have to beat us, to beat us. Edited September 22, 2024 by AAK 2 Quote

How can the linesman 1 yard away staring directly at that not see what happened. He’s literally staring at the two of them when you see the wide angle. Pure incompetence and Eustace should come out raging about it 2 Quote
SpaceBarSlam Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Well, Pears finally having some competition seems to have fired a rocket up his arse so that's something to take from a pretty dire performance. So laborious. 1 Quote
Devon Rover Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Pears was very good today. Beyond that, there wasn't a lot to be pleased about. We seemed really clueless going forward and never looked like threatening to score. A lot of work needed and time for some switches of personnel. Dolan and Hedges should be options from the bench. Baker is a square peg in a round hole unless coming in for Travis or Sondre. We've got a lot that's encouraging but that fluency in the final third was a long way off, today. 1 Quote
Michael123458 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 (edited) Shit game we were well off it the referee an absolute fucking joke at times but still unbeaten drawing away and winning at home plenty would give there right arm for RTID Edited September 22, 2024 by Michael123458 1 Quote
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 A point is a point away from home but by christ we looked laboured and lacking ideas against a poor Nob End team. Lets get this out of the way and on to Qpr..QUICK!! 1 Quote
den Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Physically weak in midfield and upfront. Too easily brushed off the ball. 1 Quote
joey_big_nose Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Really poor game quality wise... So disappointing we did so little with the extra man. Happens so much... The key thing is to make sure you get the balance right in midfield to use the ball and make the right passes but we didn't do that... Even when we brought Wieman and Cantwell on. Quote

BankEnd Rover Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Working so couldn’t watch…Sounds like an awful game. However a clean sheet and still unbeaten…Still had a gut feeling that Preston would have nicked it even with 10. Quote

doctorryan Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 The ref set the tone with his crap early on (I would like to have seen a replay of the possible penalty) in a match that was already going to be full of mucking around & nonsense. Of course things got out of hand, so we'll just take the point & move on. Dolan was a little unlucky. Quote

Pears was exceptional today, our best Rovers player. Ohashi second. The rest are just not good enough. Against 10 men, we played like we are the team with 10 men. Players and manager need to look at themselves especially Eustace. He had a half time talk and a whole half to beat 10 men. And we almost lost the game if not for Pear's saves. Give over - they were routine saves. For once he looked like a professional GK - if he lets a couple of pot shots from range and a tame header from a corner in you'd be livid. He did his job. They created nothing, we created nothing. It was a turgid game of football far too early in the day. You take the point and move on - the season is a grind, you can't be at the top of your game each week. 3 Quote
waynerovers Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Would have been nice to win but ultimately we didn't play well and we're still unbeaten after 6 games. We'd have all taken that at start of season Quote
