Be very surprised if Dolan and Hedges don't start.

Not convinced he will play Ohashi and Gueye together either.

Maybe Wiemann coming in in one of the 3 behind the striker?

It's great isn't it?

We have all this depth and we are second guessing what JE will do.

Imagine the opposition.

We could play with 2 up top. We could play with one.

Both lethal. We could start Wiemann as 10 or ACD on the wing instead of Dolan or Hedges

We could start Bucko instead of either Trav or Tron..

So many viable options!

Very exciting. And we are unbeaten.

And at home..

QPR should be worried, confused and concerned.

All signs for us to have a good game and keep us fans, especially those at ewood, something to cheer about.

Come on rovers.

Who else is excited about tomorrow?!

QPR are unbeaten away from home with draws at both Sheffield clubs and a win at Luton. I think we'll drop points tomorrow. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Unbeaten away sounds grandiose.

It's been 3 games with them conceding 4 goals away so I look it from a different perspective.

If we were in Dec and half the season to play and they hadn't lost away from home for sure, that's more concerning.

They have lost and they are bottom half of table.

We are currently unbeaten home and away.

They have also conceded late on and haven't held on from a winning position in their last game.

Agree no game is easy in championship but I am confident we will get a victory at home.

Looking forward to people looking forward to our collapse, is it?

Four-tress Ewood??

I think JE will go for the same back 5 (albeit with Pickering in for Beck), Travis and Tronstad in the engine room and then Hedges, Dolan and ACD behind Gueye. It's a prediction rather than the team I'd pick but I wouldn't be too disappointed. Given there's no Beck to bomb on and given he was pretty ineffectual I see Baker dropping out the team.

Obviously it doesnt always translate to a win, and it didnt. But we had a big advantage for 45 minutes and didnt make it count or even threaten to. Certainly disappointment and frustration from me coming away and seemingly a number of others.

As @MarkBRFC touches on, dont get this idea that we would have lost that in previous seasons. Especially as comparisons are mainly to games with 11 v 11.

Definite disappointment from me, but I can see why it happened - the game had no flow, time wasting was rampant and the referee seemed eager to give them every niggling foul after the red card. Still disappointing.

I think the comments are about losing it last year seem to be because from December onwards we seemed to have to play at our best to win and any drop off below that was a draw or loss. A bad, disjointed performance like that was usually coupled with a defensive error and a loss. It wasn't good but hopefully will be forgotten about by 2.30pm tomorrow.

There is definitely more senior depth in the squad compared to last year.

I still think the side hasnt fully formed as a result of late deals for players with a lack of pre season. I also have question marks over that 3 behind the striker, we have more options so we arent looking at the likes of Markanday as alternatives but I am still unsure exactly what the best 3 will be when everyone is fit. I know it isnt a case of the same side every game but I feel like the decisions Eustace has are as much about him trying to figure out an effective attacking midfield with some balance as much as being spoilt for choice.

Cantwell is the one that should be above everyone else but obviously is nowhere near fit enough yet, at the moment it feels like when Dack had just come back from injury, our best player but not in shape and only considered from the bench. So its how we build around him.

My concern is that we didnt get enough pace and width through the door over the summer. We really could do with Cozier Duberry being good enough to nail down a regular spot. Hedges wont have any Championship side fearing him. Dolan flatters to deceive more often than not, he offers more than Hedges but the question will be how to fit him in the side when Cantwell is starting. Weimann at his age was intended (as per Eustace) not to play every week but he is a useful player to have to offer a goal threat.

And start Buckley over either Tronstad or Travis? We really couldnt.

Assuming that Eustace sticks with the team shape that he has used so far, and there is so far nothing to suggest that he wont, I think that once everyone is fit & bedded in (as in not for the QPR game, and  probably not until after the international break), we will see Cantwell as the 10, Dolan as the wide player in the 3 who defends as a wide player but becomes a second 10 when Rovers have possession, and Cozier-Duberry as the player who holds the width/offers pace.

If so, Dolan and Cozier-Duberry could both play right or left, and be switched around depending upon which fullback options are chosen and whether it is Brittain on the right, or Beck on the left overlapping Dolan.

              Pears/Toth

Brittain Carter Hyam Pickering

           Travis Tronstad

   Dolan   Cantwell   ACD

                Gueye

or

              Pears/Toth

    Carter Batth Hyam Beck

           Travis Tronstad

    ACD    Cantwell    Dolan

                Gueye

I guess it comes down to Eustace's philosophy for home games against mid table opposition. Do we setup to try and score, or to not concede? I am really not sure at the moment. He's a hard one to read... seems defensively focused but has had the team quite attacking at times, and the players we have bought have tended to be more offensive.

Will be interesting what he goes for. I would like to see someone start in the centre of the pitch who can pass the ball forward (Cantwell, Wieman or Buckley).  But to do that will mean either dropping one of Travis or Tronstad which seems very unlikely, or putting a ball player  in at number 10 or playing a three in the midfield.

The age old problem we have had of not wanting to drop good pressing players (Dolan, Hedges, Gallagher last season) for ones who can pass the ball...

Great article. Sums it up well. I'm optimistic, he's learning about the squad, strengths and when to use subs and they are all developing well. I sense a win this weekend

With an early kick off, live TV match and around 600 expected from QPR tomorrow's attendance figure will be interesting. I wonder if the large number of under 12 season tickets sold this season has heightened the clubs suspicions that a few are being abused by 'older' fans.

There might be one or two, but I suspect the amount of under 12s tickets sold is just because they are so cheap so people are buying them for there kids even of they only go to a couple of games.

My big worry tomorrow is whether I can watch on Rovers TV or not.  Hoping for a correction from the Preston game and an emphatic victory.  Feeling in me water says slim defeat late on, Pears to blame.

Wouldn't surprised me if older fans are using them sometimes when their kids aren't going. PNE had a similar problems last season or before. You used to have show ID when purhasing younger Season tickets like I had to when my daughter was STH back in 19/20 season

I think we get round 13k on tomorrow

going for 3-0 Rovers win with a goal in the first 5 mins
