v Swansea City (h) - 19/10/2024

It's the kind of game that I can see Dolan playing well in and we are trying to secure a contract with him.

Hoping Cantwell is there or there abouts when it comes to putting in 90 mins with ease.

Can't see Ohashi starting after all the travel. Hoping that taste of squad life with the national team fills him with ambition to get his first cap after more goals for us. Gueye should be chomping at the bit too given his time out of the starting eleven. When he has come on he hasn't looked as effective off the bench so all things considered I'd be hoping for him to lead the line.

Beck has to go straight back in for me, on previous merit. I like Pickering but it would take a dip in form for him to work his way back in.

Elsewhere in the team it could be anything (outside of CMs). It all depends on who has been performing in training and who Eustace thinks will stick to his gameplan. A bit pointless predicting that given all the variables.

Hope they've put the additional time in training to good use, trying to rectify the failings in previous games. Always remember particularly under Mowbray we'd always play like they'd been sat round playing cards for a few weeks in our performances post international break. Personally, took a break from football myself as I have zero interest in pointless internationals, even chose to work last weekend instead...

Will be great to have Beck back I must admit.

Swansea have had tough away fixtures and only lost narrowly when they have, aside from a good win at Coventry.

We have a good record vs them at home only losing once, going for a questionable performance but a 1 nil home win.

The sooner we ditch loyalty and get closer to establishing our strongest starting eleven, the better.

Yeah, this.

Lets just pick our strongest 11 and go with that - let them get some cohesion together.

From there, form / injuries / suspensions will give the other players chance to impress.

We've 2 home games in a  row to put us back on track, and put that miserable away week behind us, swansea  will fancy there chances after those 2 disasterous away defeats. It's up to us to get our tails up, and keep our 100% home record intact. 6-0 to Rovers.

If he starts Pears tomorrow then we've wasted another £1m on a GK.

Zero chance he is dropping Pears (unfortunately).

Not expecting too many changes, he seems to have two favourities in Hedges and Dolan. I think he will start Gueye and bench Ohashi after his travelling. I HOPE he plays Beck. Brittain played last night so wont start tomorrow.

Expecting (not wanting) this:

                     Pears

Carter     Hyam     Baath     Beck

              Travis     Tronstad

Weiman       Dolan       Hedges

                    Gueye

I'd be so, so pissed off if he starts with those three behind the striker.

I think Cantwell for Weimann but other than that i expect that will be the side.

Not much enthusiasm for this game by the looks of it. Only 2 pages in with 24 hours to kick off.

I'll be watching. Rovers are back on US TV after a few weeks off.

Hopefully Eustace has arrested the brief downturn in performances and Rovers get back on the winning trail.

No way cantwell doesn't start if he's fit.

He's been in the building 6 weeks now. He's started games and had enough time off the bench. He didn't come to sit on the bench and we didn't sign him to sit on the bench. Our success this season I believe will come down to wether his potential can be unlocked.

I'll put my hat on him starting (provided there's an injury there which I haven't missed)

Yep, bizarre again. Pears might not have done anything majorly wrong so far this season, but he's still a poor keeper. Shocking we can't sign a keeper better than Pears.

he was 50% at fault for the late plymouth goal, caught in no mans land while hyam decided not to bother attempting to be first to the ball when the cross came over
